Other games don't have as great as effect on latency than minecraft. Minecraft is extremely reliant on latency.

Nope. I have played with 130 MS for ages (probably similar to yours) and I went to France for a week and got 9 MS, yes it made a difference but really not much. It's more placebo than anything. After a certain point, latency matters a lot but no, it's not completely reliant on it.
Anyways, that doesn't matter because they don't want to make a rushed and stupid decision. And it's already planned, they have a host and they're going to move to that host very soon, so give them some time.
