Natural selection is still a theory. Since evolution hasn't been proven, noting about it is true. So how can natural selection do its thing if it is not true?
We already adapted to our environment when God created the universe. Evolution hasn't been proven so we can't just assume it created the universe.

and also i never said evolution created the universe, its just how humans evolved from chimps and stuff

there is every arrow pointing in the direction of evolution and even though it may not be a 100% fact, neither is the pythagorean theorem which we use so often. Creationism on the other hand, has no evidence whatsoever

I actually believe in devolution as evolution seems really silly imo, but that's a story for another day.

A scientific theory is very different from what you would consider a theory. From Wikipedia:
"A scientific theory is a well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world that is acquired through the scientific method and repeatedly tested and confirmed, preferably using a written, pre-defined, protocol of observations and experiments. Scientific theories are the most reliable, rigorous, and comprehensive form of scientific knowledge."
Essentially, evolution is fact.
