Problems with arena pvp (ESPECIALLY BUILDUHC)
I don't know if its just me and a few others who have these problems but if not feel free to add on. First off, when playing build and I get lavad so of course I place water to put it out however it puts the lava out but i'm still on fire meanwhile the guy is just there criting me out. I can't even tell you how many times I have lost because of that. Another thing is when you place lava its like a 50/50 chance if it placing were you want it too (more like a 80/20 chance of it misplacing), now personally I don't use lava a whole lot however I know this is a larger issue for those who do and its really annoying. Another problem is the bow damage, you never know if it will do no damage full pulled or 1 heart half pulled. I have tested this out personally and I assume the first full pulled back shot is supposed to do half a heart and everything after is supposed to do a full heart (I think but it was so inconsistent), I have shot people with a bow and it has done up to 2 hearts of damage meanwhile I have also shot a bow where it has only done half a heart or even no damage and that is a big problem for those who use a bow more like myself. Another issue is the gapples, sometimes the gapples just don't eat for me, like I will be running and get myself enough space and when i eat it nothing happens and I die, I have died because of this multiple times and its really annoying. I have also had the issue were a gapple will eat more than 1 so If I chose to eat a gold head it will eat 2 of them instead of 1 and in a close match doing this can screw you over. Overall I was hoping to give some sort of idea of what issues i am facing and that others are facing, i'm sure I may have missed something so go ahead and add on. I just wanted to make this to give developers and the owners an idea on updates and fixes that should be fixed in the upcoming season nad what could improve the experience for all the players. :)

The buckets are a mojang issue. Gapples/gheads double eating is another mojang bug you can avoid by switching off the ghead/gapple after eating one.

Can you pick up any info on the bow damage for me? I know lots of people have the issue of inconsistent bow damage, maybe make it so each full pulled back shot does 1 heart

I think these are way more noticable from S13 because from then people started to sweat really hard..

Fun fact: bow crits are a thing (as in the occasional fully pulled back bowshot that does more damage than other fully pulled back bowshots). On top of that, the high level of prot/proj prot on the armor and the singular nature of a bowshot means damage can fluctuate a lot. The real solution (in my opinion) is to turn down the high level enchants and scale it all down, but that's just me.

I still don't see a single problem with the kit; I think that the element of randomness is part of the game. In any game mode other than ArenaPvP, there is a large element of randomness. In SG, different items, in UHC, caving luck, in skywars, once again, items, in every single gamemode theres some randomness as well as enchant variation. I think that the enchant variation gives it a little bit of difference in the kit, because same old same old will get boring.
tl;dr: it needs a bit of randomness and I see that as a fine way of doing so.

Believe it or not, you're talking about one of the most important debates on Badlion - the true nature of arena. I'm going to bed now, but I'll make a twitlonger on this at some point.

Yeah, I know. I personally see that it has become it's own gamemode, void of most randomness, which is good for the kind of gamemode it is. It's meant to be fully based on skill, thus no randomness. 2 completely even players would go completely even. However, as we know, in a game where there are 2 states; winning or losing, there needs to be a deciding factor. I see that deciding factor as the slightest bit of randomness. I don't know though, it's a pretty intense debate, and I'd be happy to continue it later. For now, I'll do some French so I don't get banned from playing Minecraft for another month.

But being random is fucking stupid, I have taken 2 full hearts of damage from a half charged shot and it killed me meanwhile majority of my fully pulled back shots do like half a heart of damage.

youre talking bullshit rn the most it can do is 1.5 fully pulled and thats uncommon or and 1heart max half pulled its never 2 heart, never

that's all very nice to read but how much arrow damage fluctuates is not this "randomness" that most people talk about
