Recently, all the Community Managers were hired and received our ranks. We’d like to do an AMA so everyone can get to know who we are and what we do.You can ask general questions that will be taken by one of us at random, or you can @ a specific CM to ask them a question.

FAQ:
"What is a community manager?"
Staff members (Thirteen in total as of right now) who are tasked with taking information from the community, whether it be suggestions, ideas, or complaints, and taking it back to the administration. Think of us as a gateway to the owners/admins when it comes to stuff about the server.
"Will you pay attention to the staff or community more?"
Both, the staff are a part of the community and we want to gain feedback from everyone.
"How important is this job?"
Extremely, we want to ensure that the player base is well taken care of and is listened to, one of the most important things about a server is making sure its community has a voice and that's what we're here for.
"What is your current priority?"
Badlion Premium, though we haven't stopped thinking about other things.

Will you be focusing on the staff or community more? Or will you be focusing on each just as much?Posted on 26 November 2016 - 02:38 PM
To anyone or all:What server communities have you been a part of and how will they affect your philosophies as a Badlion community manager?

What's a better description of your job, as the one on the original thread was pretty vague.Last edited on 26 November 2016 - 05:18 PM by DerRevilos

We will focus on the whole Badlion community. It doesn't matter if you are a Donator, non-Donator, Famous or Staff Member.

Community, it's in the name ;P
To elaborate a bit more, the staff team is technically in the community, so when it comes to our job we'd be prioritizing everyone, not one in particular. It just happens to all fall under the name Community.

Overcast, and to put it simply I'm gonna help make sure that as a group we're gonna avoid the numerous mistakes the OCN administration made.

This can be put up to interpretation, I personally see ourselves as a gateway of information for the community and staff team to the administration. If you have suggestions, complaints, those sorts of things, we're your people for it. We really want your feedback and will hopefully be capitalizing on that in the future.

Do u think this role will actually make a differencePosted on 26 November 2016 - 03:01 PM

it'll impact people more than donald trump's hairline
If done right, it'll have a huge impact and be very useful for as long as the community exists. So yeah, very important.

No servers, but I have been part of a couple of clans. For example, Infrared ended up dying because it got overpopulated and was poorly structured. It's a bit of a vague reference, but it can be related since with lack of leading the community will end up becoming really toxic and unmoderated. That's exactly why we exist; we need to make sure that the communities voice is heard, even if we really can't do much about it.

GommeHD and Overcast, both of these servers had/have different approaches on how to deal with their community. Both approaches have different flaws, but the main problem, they both share, is that they don't listen to the community at the right time. I hope that we are going to be able to avoid this.

If the role is done properly, yes.
I'll elaborate on that; if we're able to be acknowledged by the community as people to come to for feedback and we have an organised system of collaboration, we can efficiently sort through feedback and opinions on new game types or additions to the network, and by doing so act as a filtered gateway to the owners.
Tl;dr: if we organise well, we can give filter feedback and give it to the owners.

It basically just makes lives easier for the admins/owners. So they can focus on other things more while we can hand them out the main opinions/thoughts of the community.

MCSG, primarily. The MCSG community always seemed like they had poor communication with the administration, so ideally my philosophy would be to have as much communication between Badlion's administration and the community.

Incredibly. It's our responsibility to make sure the community feels like their voices are heard, and we're also the primary suppliers of official information about Badlion Premium outside of Archy and Gberry themselves.
