A more skill based points system for ArenaPvP
Actually this is a nice idea because in reality, you try to kill the person and sometimes you try a lot. You want to get a reward by earning more points. This is a feature in League of Legends, where at the end of the match, system gives you a rating from S to F. It gives you cases or keys sometimes as a reward. But in the minecraft, this can get abused so much. It is really great idea but minecraft IS NOT the game that can be used WITHOUT getting it abused.

I usually attempt to say things nicely, but this might actually be the stupidest idea I have ever read. How should beating your opponent with less health provide you with more points? You realise that this would:
1) Lower the ladder rating gap by far. If one player is far better than the rest and they 10 heart everyone, they will be rewarded with less points than someone who beats everyone with half a heart who clearly isnt that good.
2) This will adopt a strategy of people purposely lowering their health against bad players in order to get more points.
3) It will make those awesome 10 heart kills against skilled players feel bad for losing out on possible points, instead of being extremely satisfying with 10 hearting a good player.

I'm pretty sure it's blatantly obvious why this isn't a good idea to literally everyone on this thread, so could you please give me a rundown on how you managed to become deluded enough to think this would somehow be an "accurate representation of skill"?? In my opinion it's quite the opposite, in fact there would probably be completely random people on the leaderboard who are killing a bunch of Silver 5s on half a heart…. lol
