Ping & FPS? LOL
Ping and FPS are a factor in every single player vs player game, including minecraft, including sword & *BOW*.

Eh, maybe I'm just bad at melee and good at bow, but I feel it much more in melee when I'm at better ping than when I'm at bow. All I have to work with is my own experience. (My ping has ranged from 59ms to 400+ and every where in between, so I get a lot of different perspectives :P )

Honestly I feel it this way: Bow trumps sword in almost all exchanges. Sure, you can wall up, but a bow can attack from any range or height, whereas you need to be close in order to deal damage to your opponent. I'd rather see 32 arrows instead of 64Posted on 11 December 2016 - 09:10 AM

I think that it's perfectly fine the way it is when it comes to arrows, if you don't like the bow, then use your blocks to build a wall and just wait for them to rush you.Posted on 11 December 2016 - 08:40 PM

I actually think that there should be MORE arrows added to the Build UHC kit. I'm the type of player that uses the bow as a primary weapon, and I have trouble making all 64 arrows last. I know that I'm gonna get a lot of hate for this, but I prefer more arrows over less. I reckon 128 arrows would do.:)

Same goes for bow players, people who are heavily bow based may not wanna use the sword as much so they rely on bow.
""Do you think using all 64 arrows in a BuildUHC fight is over the top and "sweaty"? Everyone says yes."
Who is this everyone? In higher rank fights people do go below 10 arrows you should be able to play the game as you want
"You can't make people melee, people can choose to play however they want."
Yes thats the beauty of it people can choose however they wanna play. People should't be forced to melee nor bow and bow is a lot easier to counter than sword in build
"The #1 BuildUHC player, Danteh, has said previously that he has no problem with bow ladders such as Archer and UHC but that bow should NOT be a primary weapon for people to use in BuildUHC."
That just says it all if the bow was primary Danteh wouldnt be rank 1 in the first place. If the bow was primary people like xLucqs/Gotovo would be a lot higher on the leaderboards. As I always say please try the no sword challenge then the no bow. See which one is easier
"having people wanting to sword rush against bow spammers just does not work."
Why not? You can either block up or push them into a corner with the rod or just bow back and change your strategy based on how he will react to bowing back.
"Almost any youtuber or decent player will tell you that BuildUHC is a lot about how "sweaty" you play and how good your "tactic" is as opposed to your skill level"
"Sweating" isnt just a build term. The SG ladder also revolves around sweating as well. Badlion can't just measure your skill level and just give you the win you have to fight for it + since when are "Youtubers" a good source of information?
You have spent a lot of time in this thread I see and its nice to see people work hard on their threads instead of just crying and wanting it to be changed (however much I disagree with the thread)

"Well the bow is not a primary weapon, and if you actually use all 64 arrows in a fight then that's actually pretty sad. You're not playing the ladder the way it's meant to be played, and this is the reason why I dislike the current arrow quantity. It's because of people like you who aren't even good at the bow but they think they are just because they can bow their opponent who is trying to melee them."
Thank you for your criticism. I see that you despise players like me, and I respect that. :)

REBUTTAL OF COMMON ARGUMENTS
1)
Argument: "The BuildUHC kit is meant to represent a UHC environment where people have several stacks of arrows".
Rebuttal: UHC rarely involves the bow much at all, the game just does not encourage the use of the bow and bow spammers never win UHCs, look at a highlights video from Danteh, jdegoederen, and all the other UHC players. They never use bow, unless they're just messing around to piss people off (like Danteh's video "UHC Shorts #7 - no1. kohi archer"). Just because they have the ability to use 3 stacks of arrows doesn't mean that should be a good representation of what UHC is meant to be like. The second rebuttal follows;

Ok so first people say to keep lava because build uhc is good as it is and is popular, but then deny other ideas because they don't resemble uhc, when uhc people use fns not lava. Now onto the arrows, fuck arrows man. Build uhc is supposed to resemble LATE game uhc. The kit should be full p2, sharp 3, fns, and for arrows, 32. 32 not to resemble a the amount you'd have in uhc, but to resemble the play style used in late game uhc. That is why you don't get a stack of gapps, and it should be uniform throughout the kit. People who bowspam ruin the kit and just waste time. The point of the kit is UHC melee largely, not how big of a queer you can play like.
