At long last, the biggest questions buzzing around the Minecraft community are coming to light! Where and when is Badlion Esports coming out!? I want to keep this announcement short and simple and to the point. Feel free to ask questions below.

Badlion Esports Pre-Sale Date

We will be releasing Badlion Esports pre-sales on the 23rd of December at 15:00 GMT - 25th of December 15:00 GMT TBD (whenever they get on and finish the store so i can enjoy my day) (Ran into some issues with Paypal and Paymentwall, working with their tech support in some tickets at the moment). This will give our development time the needed time to finalize the last pieces of our new store. We will begin our launch sale during this time for the Badlion Esports product as well. The prices and features are below (again):



We will be running this launch sale up until the 1st of January, so make sure to buy it at the discounted rate while you can. Friendly reminder that the subscriptions renew at the normal rate after the specified period. Your first payment will be given extra time based on when you purchase it and the number of days until the full release below.

Examples:

1. If you buy a month to month subscription on December 27th you will be given 65 days (Jan 30 - Dec 27 = 35 + 30 days) for your first month as the “trial period” at the lower rate which will give you access to the beta. Your subscription will then renew on March 1st (yay February and short months) for another month and normally bill you on the 30th of the month and so on and so forth unless you cancel it.

2. If you buy a yearly subscription on January 3rd you will be given 392 days (Jan 30 - Jan 3 = 27 + 365 days) for your first year as the “trial period” at the lower rate which will give you access to the beta. Your subscription will then renew on Jan 30th 2018 for another 365 days and so on and so forth unless you cancel it.

Lastly please note if you have free Badlion Esports time from your lifetime rank (more info found here) you can still purchase extra Badlion Esports time with the launch sale. We will automatically credit your account with the extra time.

Alpha Footage

By this weekend (Christmas Time!) we are aiming to work with our Badlion Partners, soon to be Partners, and some of our close friends under NDA to provide some footage/gameplay of the Badlion Esports Alpha. We will try to schedule some footage and gameplay until the beta is available for use a few different times and keep showing off the features/gameplay stuff as we add the missing pieces.

Beta Release Date

We will be releasing the Badlion Esports Beta to all players who purchase a membership to Badlion Esports during the Pre-Sale or have lifetime ranks on the 16th of January at 12:00 GMT. This will give our team the necessary time to ensure a smooth beta phase. We will most likely only have the beta open the first few days during specified time windows (we will post them later) and later during the beta will always have the service running. This will help us to stress test the systems and fix bugs. We will reset statistics at the end of the beta period before the full launch.

Badlion Esports Full Release Date

The final release date for Badlion Esports will be the 30th of January at 12:00 GMT. The two week beta period should be sufficient for us to find the bugs/issues that we did not find during our own testing of the product. We will be releasing with as many features as we can, and continuously adding new features and improving old ones throughout 2017 and onward.

A Quick Side Note: Operating System Requirements

So this question has come out of left field and is honestly something we forgot to mention earlier in the announcement posts. Due to the nature of how the Anti-Cheat functionality operates, Badlion Esports will only be available on Windows at this time. We are sorry to our Mac OS X and Linux users at the moment, and will be investigating things in 2017 to look into supporting our Anti-Cheat technology later in the year on additional operating systems.

This being said, we do plan on trying to release the Badlion Client on Mac OS X and Linux with the Badlion Minecraft Version hopefully in the first quarter of the 2017. We will also make the chat/friend systems available so you can talk with your friends on the native application as well. Badlion Esports will hopefully come to Mac OS X and Linux later in the 2017 year based upon our Anti-Cheat research on these other operating systems. We will make a follow up post if we officially plan to add support for these other operating systems.

Conclusion

Keeping this announcement short and to the point. We are working very hard to make sure that what we give out to the community is a very polished and smooth product and not a bunch of random parts being held together by super glue and rubber bands. I am super excited that what we have been working on planning and building for the past 6 months is going to be out in the public hands soon.
