That is a very high end PC, the fact you are asking if you would have enough fps in minecraft with it is concerning.Posted on 29 December 2016 - 04:25 PM

You should be able to stay at over 100fps 99.99999999999999999998% of the time.

No… Just because you have 144hz monitor does not mean you can see 144hz. There is absolutely no point in having anything over 100hz (60hz for most people.) Especially for Minecraft.
"no point in having anything over 100hz unless you're going into esports" well actually if you'd ever been lucky enough to play around with a 144hz monitor, you'd be crying by the time you got home, and this is coming from someone who owns a 60hz monitor yet has experienced a 144hz monitor multiple times. twice the refresh rate looks so much smoother and more aesthetically pleasing, so "60hz being fine for most people" doesnt really make any sense.

You misunderstand me. I meant that 60hz is good for the causal gamer (which is a majority of people who play games.) However, between 100hz and 144hz; there isn't much difference.

I don't know the exact numbers, but they'll be high. More than you actually need. The human eye normally sees things in 60 FPS, and anything over like 120 doesn't have a noticeable change, so you're good. You'll be getting numbers much higher than that.Posted on 05 January 2017 - 10:02 PM
