I was wondering whether one can get false banned by Gcheat. Like the player wasn't using hacks or illegal mod's and yet banned by Gcheat without warning.Posted on 24 January 2017 - 03:33 AM

That's patently false - once in a great while GCheat admins give someone the benefit of the doubt for a GCheat ban.
GCheat almost never false bans, but it's also possible to accidentally "cheat" with mouse issues so those players are generally unbanned as well.
EDIT: Realized this might be unclear, I'm agreeing with Vaxd.

If we look at GCheat logs and aren't 100% sure that someone is cheating then we give them the benefit of the doubt. No matter who the player is. We rather have 10 cheaters roam freely than 1 innocent player falsely banned.
However, the harsh reality is that the vast majority of players who get banned by GCheat are, without a doubt, cheating.

You're admin, you are part of a handful of people able to see GCheat logs. Why should we believe you when you say this person is cheating? For all we know you're lying and trying to cover up a false ban.
No proof no ban, I say. Sure, you say "We don't release logs to prevent people bypassing" but what if another reason to do so is to silence the outcry of falsely banned players and justify giving them 0 proof of them cheating?

I mean XxC00lPvP3r69HDx will always claim that they are false GCheat banned because they can click 30CPS legitimately, it makes the admins job a lot harder when people lie. Every individual case can't be looked into unless it's a manual GCheat ban because too many people make false claims. No one has close to an inkling of a clue to what happens behind the scenes. GCheat - it's a touchy subject and is forbidden to be discussed, the admins don't mentiom a word of it. The information pertaining to GCheat is highly confidential and shared in a circle among the owners, admins, and occasionally the senior - meaning you are doing nothing but speculating or simply arguing off of potentially false information the admins fed you.

Trying to argue that only famous/well know people get unbanned and that people only think that way because questioning gcheat isn't allowed is stupid shit. The first mod to look at my appeal just assumed I cheated, and had I not been able to get other mods to intervene and tag the admins I would have had to wait a month to appeal again.
