Should "1v1s" be Againt the Rules?
So lately on twitch, I've been seeing lately a few streamers accepting what they call a "1v1." Where usually they meet up with a player and have a fight, most of the time, I'm not going to say 100% of the time because I'm not sure, but most of the time the streamer ends up winning. Now usually they end up gaining; some people have been getting a bit frustrated with it, which I can understand why, a lot of people call it a low key "saccy," short for sacrifice. Which is against Badlion rules.

On the other hand, I can see the temptation of receiving a "1v1," and some people even "sacrifice" anyway when they see the streamer/youtuber etc. in-game. So people are going to be sacrificing regardless, even without the beneficiary realizing. I can also see how "1v1s" make it a bit easier.

Now my question is SHOULD "1V1'S BE AGAINST THE RULES? Post your opinions as a response to this thread. Before answering consider all perspectives, and give any possible solutions you can come up with.

I'm not making this thread to call anyone out, expose or whatever, it's been on my mind since this is a competitive server.

I personally do not feel they should be against the rules as not all players sacrifice themselves for the streamer in the matter. Also another point is that the streamers may feel good giving a shot of fame to said player and testing their skills out. You are correct that streamers often win the 1v1's however it is not 100% of the time so it would be partially unfair the enforce the rule, Also fair amount of streamers are very good at pvp so that choice is up the player to fight them.

As long as the person actually fights (with the best armor/weapon they have) I don't see a problem with it.

They are risking their game to meetup and to fight against another person. I think it's fine

If "1v1s" were prohibited in UHC meetup, then the whole thing itself wouldn't operate correctly. You have to take into account teaming, as that would be more common then, on top of that there would also be more cleanups WHILE teaming. There would be false punishments handed out, as people who 1v1 in the meet ups don't even know each other, yet they still 1v1 because that's what people tend to do.

I just feel like it ruins everyone's chance of winning because they can't get "1v1s". If Badlion is as competitive as they say, then why allow streamers to have an unfair advantage? Everyone should have an equal chance of winning. I understand if you "randomly" see somebody and they just take off they're armor, there's nothing you can do. But asking for "1v1s" in chat every game %100 shouldn't be a thing or ./msg to arrange coords.

If that person wants to risk themselves to get this 1v1, probably only doing it to get on the Youtube or stream, then I think that is fine. Whether it is planned or not, I do not see a 100% reason as why this should be punishable

If anything we should be having more 1v1s, people become tired of trying to get a 1v1 and getting cleaned midway through. As long as both the streamer and opponent are both properly fighting (Which they really should be - It's a stats UHC), having a 1v1 is fine.

He is talking about UHC not Meetup.

All valid points, I think that some of these prearranged fights can be unfair, at the same time there is a risk in accepting a 1v1 because the person who's offering the 1v1 could be lying about their gear. But most of the time there is almost no risk, just reward. I also feel like it takes away a from the uhc experience by taking away some of the luck, some could argue that it enhances the experience by adding more surprise but like I said earlier, most of the time there's almost no risk. It's a really difficult decision; in all honesty some of the 1v1s are sacrifices, and some are legit 1v1s.

@Vykz In uhc meetup I would love 1v1's ,being a arena pvp fanatic, but realistically meetup is practice for the actual uhc's. And in uhc, clean ups and surprise are a part of the game you have to deal with, as annoying as it is. This isn't really my concern because I don't really take meetup as seriously as an actual uhc, also I feel like people are less likely to sacrifice on a meetup.
In my opinion, this should definitely be considered before the full release of competitive premium.
