The common defense from these troublemakers is "idc it only 15 mins - it short." This weakling notion of "rehabilitation" instead of punishment should be scrapped immediately.
Filter bypass could be scrapped tbh, people can only bypass the filter to hackusate or to be a poor sportsman and mutes for filter bypass would end up falling under the specific one of those two categories
The first mute people get could always be made to be 30 minutes too but i'm not really sure about how the mute length should be changed at this point in time

I agree, this should also go for things like extreme racism and other extremely toxic comments. Too many times have I seen people say ridiculously racist things and only get a 15 minute mute, or say something like you mentioned about hoping someone's whole family dies of cancer and getting the same mute time as someone who just said three letters.Last edited on 11 February 2017 - 01:49 AM by Utsuho
I still go by the judgement that we hold the right to ban for suicide encouragement of any kind.As for the OP, I'd rather just extend the duration of the first suicide encouragement mute to two weeks and keep the rest of its scaling normal after that. I don't really see a need to add an additional mute option when the others do their job well. Yeah there is a difference between "kys" and "go jump off a bridge onto spikes while drinking bleach in a torrent of oil-driven fire like the degenerate you are" but to the people this stuff really effects the gap isn't nearly as large. Better to just avoid it in all forms.
This and a self-mute option would be nice QoL additions long term.
Edit: I actually just had an idea about forcing players to rehabilitate, hmmmm

Yep, good old memories xD but it had to be "kys" + another bad insult for a ban just "kys" always was a 7day mute if I remember well.
