I'd love an archer-based ladder without speed II. And we really need to fix our IronOCN and UHC kit. UHC needs limited arrows and Ironocn needs unlimited arrows.Posted on 02 November 2014 - 03:00 AM

I have already suggested this, but since you guys are looking for more ladders I may as well give it another shot!The Walls Ladder
I am still open to suggestions for what to change in this kit, so please make suggestions if you have any ideas or thoughts.

Also maybe a robot fighting ladder? You are basically fighting a robot that looks like yourself but has been coded of course. You have a choice to set it to medium hard or easy before the match starts in your inventory (maybe clicked with 3 Items) such as diamond sword (hard) iron sword (medium) and wooden sword (easy) with the items labeled of course. You have a 100% choice to pick a kit.. I was thinking.. Wood sword unb50, with steak and an inventory of health 2's. This way, people have no choice to say good game, because there is no hacker involved, they can't say pinger because they get to choose there difficulty. This would be extremely fun! You have a ladder based off of the archer kit on hcf; how about the others? What if you made a rogue ladder with all the same buffs plus the ability to backstab? Bard and miner would be boring, though.Posted on 03 November 2014 - 07:56 PM
It would be awesome if there were ladders that change pvp at its core. Like screwing with knockback (delaying it, decreasing it, making it more vertical and less horizontal). You could screw with how much you're able to hit in a certain period of time, change how fast you can move while using items (imagine a sword based ladder, but while holding the bow back you go far faster, so you can use it to rush around and switch off for combos). Just food for thought, creating ladders which change pvp itself could potentially be a fun differentiator from other servers.Posted on 03 November 2014 - 10:24 PM

How about a archer like ladder where instead of firing arrows you fire ender pearls which do they same amount of damage but also teleport you. Iron swords and full leather with iron chestpiece. No cooldown on pearls and a small-average sized map.Posted on 14 November 2014 - 03:58 AM
@iSluff While it would be an interesting idea, I think a lot of servers have already tried and failed at creating fun gameplay by changing fundamentals about minecraft. While I do agree that changing knockback in that particular would be an interesting idea, I don't think generally it would be a good idea seeing that multiple other "minigame servers" already do this, and I say this with a heavy heart, are not as fun because they don't stay true to their Minecraft roots. Take for example factions. Factions is fun because it takes the basic survival multiplayer idea and puts a fun twist on it with lots of intense pvp and pot fights. The example here is that its staying closer to its roots by having few plugins that affect gameplay and more that either add to it with shops or stop rule breakers. Now let's look at Hypixel's new gamemode Cops and Crims as another example. The plugins it uses completely rebuild gameplay from the ground up, and end up being a haphazardly made CS:GO clone with retro graphics. As you can see these are both wildly different gamemodes with different amounts of changing the basic mechanics (terraforming, crafting, exploring) and I think it really shows. I'd hate to see Badlion go in a direction like this, and I am firmly rooted in the belief that you can still create fun and addictive gameplay and also staying true to your roots (ie. Oc.tc)
