Build is so popular now not because people care about the competitiveness of arena, but because they find it the best way to practice for real UHCs, among other things. Arena has always been split between practice and raw competition, but this 1v1 league is not, or rather should not be. As far as I can see, this league should be built to be competitive, and not practice as 1v1s have arguably been in the past, and having the same kit over and over for no good reason doesn't make sense to me. Indeed, BuildUHC utilizes a good many talents that you don't see in the other kits, but SG is not too far removed. In fact, and correct me if I'm wrong, I believe SG was the most popular ladder before Build came around. It would appeal to the same playerbase that would take the Build league competitively, while those that use Build for practice still have ample access to Build in duels and on Open.
