Staff Age Limit.

What if there was an actual 11 year old that knows what he's doing and when you see him staffing he looks like he is like almost 14. I bet you there are some 11 year olds that are actually responsible for the job.

14 year olds aren't even that mature.

you could be the most mature and serious man in the world but still lack intellectual knowledge. Maturity is something you can choose if you want it or not. Knowledge is something that comes with time but, if you are an 11 year old who knows more then I do, I would hire you becuase, A) It shows you know how to problem-solve and B) It shows you work to earn what you want

keep in mind it's the majority of people that naturally mature with age.
I would hire a 4 year old if he/she/etc could prove to me two points

Superior intellectual knowledge
Just as good as the next staff member

I agree.

There has been 12 year olds on the staff team before and they have done a good job. 10 wouldn't be stretching it that much.

I honestly think that if you are around the age of 11-12 you can perfectly manage the staff position. I know a staff member on a server I used to play who was 11 and he a really good staff member.

I think if you have maturity and you are overall good at dealing with situations you could be a good staff member.

2 years of learning through experience and maturity is a HUGE thing, especially when some 12 year olds are starting to go through puberty. Even then, 12 year olds are a rarity on the staff team for a reason: most of them are unfit to have responsibility like this.

From my personal experience the youngest staff member I've worked with was 13 years old. I think most of us would agree when we were younger, before puberty, we would agree at times we felt far more mature for our age, but a few years later we realize just how wrong we were. I'm not saying it's impossible for someone around the age of 10-12 to be mature it is just a very rare circumstance thus making it a safer bet to seek staff a bit older.

absolutely. even though people tend to mature slower or faster than others, kids in general don't really mature (enough to productively moderate) until they're well into their teens. you'll find exceptions, of course, but you'll know they're exceptions. if people get hired, it's because they're thought to be capable of being in whatever position they applied for. age is more so an afterthought and a pillar of guidance than anything else – it's not necessarily deterministic but it isn't *not* at the same time. applications are usually revealing enough to tell you if someone's ready for a position or not so yeah. cool. nice.
