what computer?
FINALLY I HAVE ENOUGH MONEY FOR A PC ( I THINK).

so i've been playing mc for years with about 40-60fps. very choppy n shit. my cousin came back from uni and he let me use his op laptop for a bit and it was so nice playing other games and mc with like 80-100 fps. anyway he took it back a while ago and i cri. I really wanna try h1z1,csgo,lol,ow etc.

I'm from the UK so links to shops from the UK would be cool.

Anyone know or recommend any decent pc? Idm custom built , i could probably watch a couple of youtube vids to learn how to build one. I'd like the cheapest but good enough pc to be able to idk um lets say, stream minecraft?

thanks for reading, have a good day

Here's a bit of advice since I'm not up to speed with exact models.

Probably any desktop around the £500 mark (exclusive of monitors.. I bought two ex-NHS monitors which are 20 inches for 10£ each, so if you're looking to make you're money go further, buy some refurbished office monitors).

Minecraft and CS:GO are not very intensive, the same with league.

Since you're after recording these games, and not something like the original DayZ mod, then you're safe to buy/look into AMD based machines. AMD parts aren't certain to be worse than NVidea parts in the mid-range sector, but they're cheaper without noticable difference in these sorts of games. I've always advised AMD unless you want a high-enf gaming PC, which I don't see much of a case for financially or gameplay wise.

You can save around 40% by ordering the parts off of Amazon, so find a computer with specs you like, then order the parts and you'll have enough money to buy an extra SSD or more premium version of Windows etc. It's not hard work if you treat it like over-sized lego. Every part can only go in one way, that's how the slots and pins are designed. The only way you can mess it up is if you try to force something in the wrong way. Most CPUs have an arrow to line up with something on the motherboard, too. There are so many standards that you can't mess it up. Just if you go down the route of building a PC, ensure compatibility, every website will document the specifications for their parts. It's neither misleading, nor complicated.

Have fun.

You're welcome :)

If you could answer these questions, I'll be able to guide you better.

Budget?
How many FPS do you want in most games?
How many years do you want the PC to last?
Do you want your PC to be easily upgradable, so you can get the most out of your parts?

Components

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1500X (£174) | Link

With the arrival of the new Ryzen platform from AMD, we now have more options to choose from when it comes to the processor. Previously, Intel used to rule the processor market at this price range with their Core i5 series of processors, but it changed when Ryzen from AMD was released. The 1500X delivers around the same performance as its Intel counterpart the i5-7600K which is roughly 25% more expensive.

GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB (£215) Link | Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050Ti 4GB (£140) Link

You can't really go wrong with either, the decision comes down to if you're willing to spend the extra for the FPS gain.

Benchmarks for the GTX 1060:

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive - 250 FPS
League Of Legends - 200 FPS
Minecraft - 600-1000 FPS
Overwatch - 120 FPS
H1Z1 - 80 FPS

Benchmarks for the GTX 1050Ti:

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive - 200 FPS
League Of Legends - 120 FPS
Minecraft - 400-700 FPS
Overwatch - 80 FPS
H1Z1 - 60-75 FPS

Note: These benchmarks are all on the highest settings (Ultra/Epic), so if you turn down the settings you should see a decent bump in FPS.

Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-AB350M-Gaming 3 (£80) | Link

Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB (2x4) (£63) | Link

HDD: Western Digital - Caviar Blue 1TB (£42) | Link

SSD: SanDisk SSD PLUS 120 GB (£49) | Link

This is optional, but if you can make sure to get it.

Case: NZXT Source 340 (£60) Link | Zalman R1 (£41) Link

Again, this comes down to personal preference and if you are willing to spend the extra :D

PSU: Corsair VS450 (£35) | Link

Total: £624 or £718

If you need any help building the PC just PM me, I'll send you some guides :)

With you wanting to stream it'd be better to get the r5-1600 over the r5-1500x that suitability suggested.

i fucking adore you suit. thanks for putting so much time and effort into this <3 means alot. I'm just gonna ask my other friend about everything you reccomended and if he also agrees then I'll watch a few reviews n thats it. If he disagrees, I'll tell you what he thinks would be a better or cheaper alternative ^-^ perhaps you could think of a better one. btw another guy responded with something related to this with an alternative?

In streaming yes, since it's 6 cores rather than 4 cores.

Oh but does that mean it's not possible to stream with r5-1500x? Could you also possibly link me the 1600 one xd
