Generally how we approach this is by establishing a standard server based off of best average connection for all parties involved. If two players who are set to compete against each other wish to duel on a specific region, separate from the standard one, they are allowed to do so.
However, if the players cannot mutually agree on a region, NA is the standard.
Why NA? Doesn't the EU region have more players?

It's a matter of fairness for all regions. NA has the best average connection for all parties involved.

You rule out a huge portion of people for two of those events which isnt fair at all. Mac users cant download the BLC. so unfair.Last edited on 24 June 2017 - 02:07 PM by frogmike

It is not a simple matter to port the anticheat code from Windows to Mac/Linux. Less than 10% of Badlion's population plays on operating systems other than Windows. This being said it is something we are actively researching the possibility of for a later date but we are making no promises as to whether we will ever be able to port the anticheat over or not. We recommend users who have a Mac use Bootcamp to install Windows on their machine. It is a completely free tool provided by Apple to dual boot your computer with both Mac and Windows. You need a valid Windows license key though.

When will there be tournaments for kits like diamond and iron? I've never seen a tournament for those type of kits and I think it would be interesting to watch some of those fights and strategies that come with it.Posted on 24 June 2017 - 02:22 PM
Will there be a sign up thread later for each tourney?Posted on 24 June 2017 - 02:58 PM

do you have to have premium rank to play? (ik i have premium rank but my friend dosen't and i wanna do the 2v2s build tournament)Posted on 24 June 2017 - 06:53 PM
So Mac users are banned from the tournaments? (At least the ones that can't install bootcamp…)Like I'd like to play them, but I'm Mac and I can't install bootcamp…. So this means I can't play any of them?

Gberry and Archy have both said that they would rather have cheaters running around on the server than false ban players… You are false banning 10% of your player base because there might be like 20 hackers… I understand the move, but this contradicts the owners ideas…
So in conclusion, if your going to not allow Mac/Linux users to play, then you should can players on less evidence than you do now. If someone digs to a player, straight up ban them etc.

In other words, minorities are not part of your concern at all. I get it. Soon enough - by only focusing on those who currently considered - more and more people will leave and move elsewhere. If badlion transitions far enough with the BLC/Premium then they will lose 10% of their community. 10%. Thats huge. Make your own decisions, again I have no impact nor does anyone who tries to ask for anything. I hope one day in the very near future the badlion client will become available to mac users. There are an infinite amount of strictly coded (blah blah blah) applications that can be downloaded on mac (its very easy). Some coders argue that producing on Mac is up to 50% easier. Please try and do something for the small groups and ALL your users instead of just focusing on the common.
And as for that kid that blames the player not the server for not being able to use BLC thats just plain retarded. Nuff said.

I'll address your concerns.Flashy wrote

This is entirely non-sequitur. We do care about all portions of our community, and while it's unfortunate that we cannot accommodate a small portion of the community, but that doesn't demonstrate a lack of concern for that portion of the community. For four of the six tournaments, you may compete, as BLC isn't required. You have the ability to migrate to a compatible operating system. Nobody is being directly denied access to the tournament in this regard.

You demonstrate no knowledge of the program at all, yet you comment on the simplicity behind such a process? Have you no knowledge that BLC is in early stages, or do you just refuse to acknowledge it? At no point have we said we refuse to develop for compatibility with Mac, and framing our words or actions in such a manner is nothing short of a lie, if not a gross misrepresentation of our statements.
As an authority with limited resources, it is our responsibility to decide how to distribute those resources, and we have to be practical. At the moment, divesting resources in developing the Badlion Client for Mac simply doesn't seem to be a practical allocation of resources, but that doesn't speak for the future.
