I'm talking about a known competitive game. Such as overwatch cs rocket league, LoL, etc people know that it is a competitive game. People think minecraft is a building game for 9 year olds.

If minecraft were to be a popular e-sport game, it wouldn't.If it will ever go anywhere a rip off minecraft should be made with the exact same mechanics so badlion will have full creative freedom and can do what the fuck they want, it should only be announced when the game is actually ready to get all the hype players on board too.

I completely agree with you here. But unfortunately to many of us Minecraft PvP is the only PvP we get to experience considering our graphics cards aren't the best. But I recently got a new graphics card. One that would let me play other competitive games. The first game I purchased was Overwatch. And I now fully understand why Minecraft will never be an esport, the minecraft PvP community is dying. Minecraft was never a game that was meant to be competitive therefore it's full of issues. It's just way too simple with an extremely low skill cap. The developers also really don't give a fuck about Minecraft PvP, considering they pushed out updates the PvP community was strongly against.Last edited on 30 July 2017 - 04:50 AM by Verillium

Kohi was pretty good competition wouldn't you say?
Anyway people need to stop looking at all the negatives and actually appreciate that Badlion is by far the strongest competitive server and has been for several years. It's in a depression but when S15 etc launches there I wouldn't be surprised to see Badlion hitting 5k players regularly. As Magiclz said I personally love the fact Ultra came out despite the stupid drama. Badlion hasn't had proper competition since Kohi and this is the reason it entered the slump in the first place.
Badlion's not gonna hit 5k players again (1 region) , and there's competition now. I don't see a recovery in any near future.

Don't think the players being young is a big problem look at clash royale esport is being developped and there are tons of young players
Honestly though having 14 year olds e-sports isn't great for your reputation that they're the best players you have
Also I'm pretty sure to go to a lan event you have to be 16 +

It had more competitive gamemodes but although I'm not that informed as to that whole scene from what I've heard if wasn't too stable hence why I said the "strongest."
If you're talking about pocket edition I have no idea as to what's going on there

For around 3 years they hosted tournaments every few months that each had around 64-100 teams and each team had around 20 players. Also that whole time period they would get around 1500-2000 players online at peak times

and this is the biggest reason why minecraft will never become a mainstream e-sport, not because it has bugs, young playerbase or toxic community none of that even matters, what matters is how the rest take a look at it and while cs:go was also looked down on as an esport when it was just starting, it wasnt hated by other gamers/people playing other games, it was hated by the mainstream media at that time and the overall "average human" perspective, the average person didnt even know games existed and now they know of minecraft as a 9 year old game, csgo as a game with guns and idk gta as something their teenager spends 10 hours per day on
My point is that other gaming communities don't look at minecraft as an e-sport and thats what hurts it the most, until you can change cs:go, dota 2 and LoL community's perspective of this game I don't see it ever becoming big as those games

🙉🍆🙉im staying all the way 💯💯💯 minecraft competitive is never happening ni🅱️🅱️a👌👌👌👌 too many factors like ping, different knockbacks, etc that will prevent it from getting big.😫😫😫💦😤😤 and ya 😂😂 theres a reason everyone stays away from telling ppl they play minecraft irl😂😂😩😈😩🔥🔥🔥🍆🍆Last edited on 30 July 2017 - 04:06 PM by Big_Loink

They still had big tournaments after that (2016) that would get about 600-1000 people, but not as big
