**This is a BAC tournament. The use of BLC is mandatory.





This tournament will be the fourth in a series of summer tournaments. If you need more information regarding the other summer tournaments, read the announcement thread linked at the top of this page. Failure to attend may result in your disqualification in future tournaments, so only sign-up if you are certain you can attend. The matches will take place on the North American proxy.

This tournament is also the first of three qualifier tournaments, of which you can learn more about here. This tournament acts as a means to gain access for your team to the fourth and final invitational tournament with a $5000 prize pool.

We will be inviting the top 2 teams from each of the tournaments above and then reserving 2 spots to invite 2 other specially selected teams. If a single team places in the top 2 multiple times we will then shift down the position to 3rd place, 4th place, etc if needed.

Because BLC is required, banned players and IP banned players are allowed to participate in all 3 of the qualifiers and the invitational. (More news on this later, further elaboration, etc)

The maps are: Versatile, Bazaar, Aerospace, Basilica, and Station

Overview
Teams will be 5v5'ing using the CTF scrim servers. The amount of matches played each round will be determined based on how many players sign up.
The bracket will be single elimination.
Capture the Flag is one of the most classic competitive gamemodes out there. Teams will have to display both strategy and skill to eliminate their opponents.

Date and Time
The tournament will take place on September 2nd at 10:00 am EST.
Sign-ups will close on September 1st at 2:30 PM EST.

Sign-ups
This tournament, as well as the remaining qualifier tournaments, are all 5v5s. However, each team can have four substitutes.
As a player, you may not compete for multiple teams under the same tournament. If your team qualifies for the tournament, you are locked with your team's roster for the remaining qualifier tournaments, unless you did not (as an individual player) compete in the tournament.

If you played a single game during the tournament and your team qualifies, you are locked to the roster for the rest of the invitational tournaments.

Server
This tournament will be played on the NA arena lobbies. You can access the servers by connecting to na.badlion.net and then joining the CTF lobby.
Tournament staff will give further instruction in-game. You will be told to prepare, and you will be forced into matches.

Prizes
1st place team - $650
2nd place team - $250
3rd place team - $100

Rules
In addition to the rules below, all Badlion rules apply during the tournament.

The following offenses may warrant a disqualification and or a ban from all Badlion Network servers without warning and will be harsher than those usually given out:

Usage of any unauthorized client modifications/hacked clients
Usage of any sort of external device that gives the player an unfair advantage over other players
Threatening, harassing, or bullying other players
Exploiting game-breaking plugin issues/abusing bugs
Failure to follow directions given by Tournament Staff
Any action that causes a disruption to the event
Any form of poor sportsmanship and/or disrespect, publicly or privately
Evading an IP ban (We will wait to issue the bans 5 minutes before the tournament starts)
If you do not follow the instructions given by a helper, you may be disqualified.
All competitors must be using BLC.

Rules and gameplay are subject to change
Rematches will be granted at the discretion of Tournament Advisers or Admins in only certain situations.

Round information
Round 1 will be bo1. After round 1, every round until finals will be bo3. Finals will be bo5.

This tournament DOES require users to use the Badlion Client.

Are the games Bo5, Bo3 or Bo1? And if a team signs up for this CTF tournament with a roster of 9, will those same 9 players have to play in the other qualifying tournaments with the same teams? If they qualify for the $5000 prize pool tournament must they play with the same 9 players as the CTF tournament (or whichever tournament they qualified through, as we don't know the gamemodes for the others)? School will be starting again soon and it's likely to mess with rosters and players' availability to practice and play tournaments.

I feel like everyone should know the gamemodes for all three qualifying tournaments and the gamemode for the tournament they actually qualify for as soon as possible, and all of the rules surrounding rosters too. Without setting out the rules asap it's bound to cause complications later on

Ayyyy MAC squad. Bootcamp is shit it just freezes 24/7 and takes up so much space which then makes my fps to below 50. I wish mac users were an exception because then the tourneys would be a lot more intense with me and others in it ;)
