+1, SG is so under-utilised and has by far the best competitive basis for an 'e-sport' scene to be made from Badlion (evident by the astronomical player count of MCSG and the insane competitive clan scene). Why not throw the prize money+server costs of the failed Arena 1v1 into a 5v5 SG league, or at the very minimum a standalone tournament? The SG clan community scene is probably larger than arena and can rival OCN and they don't even have a good server to play on. With the right people representing a league board I have no doubt in my mind the turnout for SG tournaments would be higher than the turnout for any tournament previously held on Badlion. For some emphasis in my own region, whenever a 'MCSG replica' server comes out the community on that is 10x higher than on arena and bigger than UHC, and that's from a dead community with no stable server.Posted on 04 September 2017 - 01:14 AM

Honest to god, if MCSG hosted a SG clan tournament in it's prime with a prize pool the turnout would've been higher than anything Badlion could imagine at this point. 1v1 League failed tremendously, why not just use the budget for that and give us a $5000 SG tournament (which is like, 1 season of 1v1 League). If it fails then hey, Badlion know not to touch SG as a competitive gamemode. But it won't, because SG as a competitive gamemode will be huge if done properly.
