Some of our hardest working staff members have been reformed players.@frogmike used to be pretty toxic too once upon a time ago.

The thing is its not just about the toxcity and hackusations, he has been banned mutliple times for mining offenses. Also, he literally camps in ranked for 10 minutes because he knows he can't beat decent players an then types GG after still getting fucked after camping. Let me elevate his status to a dog for this example :DOG : Does something bad doesn't get a treat

Great idea!! Let's make someone, who completely moved away from badlion to fill his own pockets, an admin! What a great idea! I'm sure he's definitely in this for the purpose of helping make badlion a success rather than anything else…I might be alone here, but as far as i'm concerned this is a fucking joke. They turned their backs on badlion and your response is to give them a shit ton of money and bring them back in positions of power?! Crazy.
I love badlion but it's stuff like this that is why this server is going to keep on declining.

The part of this that shocked me the most is that these are player to admin promotions, which to my knowledge has never been done before on Badlion. I liked the concept of people having to work their way up through the ranks to show that they're dedicated and trustworthy. The people promoted haven't shown either of these things and sometimes even quite the opposite.From a human standpoint this feels shitty. From a business perspective though, I can't fault you for making this decision. Sure it would be nice to laugh at their faces about how they constantly talked shit about Badlion, only to later witness their own ship sinking. And maybe that's what they deserve. But for those who haven't noticed: Badlion's own ship isn't sailing at the speed it used to either. If his is what it takes to pick up the pace again then I don't see why it wouldn't be worth a shot.
There's obvious risks involved. You're centralizing your youtuber/streamer relations around a single person. Another person is going to change the UHC gamemode to how he personally enjoys it*. And a third person… I don't really know much about but I assume he has some sort of credentials that make him suitable for the job.
(* Side note: While this is a risky move, it might actually be what UHC needs. Anyone who says it's always best to listen to the community has never listened to the community. Because the majority of the time the feedback is completely divided and people are unhappy no matter what you do. Putting your foot down and saying "this is what the gamemode is going to be now" might take some time for people to get used to, but if the changes are within reason I think it's worth a shot.)
In closing: initially I felt exactly like @cringiecake but at the end of the day I think it's worth giving this plan a chance and giving it some time. If the attitudes and level of dedication of these new guys are shit then it won't take long for that to start showing. But if this works out, it might just turn into something pretty.

I agree and disagree.Most normal businesses require people to have qualifications which they actually need some level of education for (uni/college degrees etc). On a Minecraft server this is obviously not the case, with the exception of devs. The qualifications you'd look for here are mostly related to someone's personality: being trustworthy, dedicated, having experience and so forth. Anyone who shares those traits (along with some level of intelligence) can do most staff member jobs. And how do you find out if someone has those things? By them being a staff member for a longer period of time on the server.
The new peeps not actually having staffing right does clear up a lot though. Curious to see how this turns out. Also eager to see that BLClient 2.0 👀
