I'm spanish speaker and i think that "gringo" isn't a mutable offense because it's not as racist as "beaner" is. It's just a way to call the people from united states but not insulting or trying to offend

Yes maybe gringo isnt a racist but how spanish players use it makes it disrespectful like when they say "those fat gringos that just eat Burgers"

But gringo isnt something disrespectful its like when Europeans call you "Americans" I think you guys are comparing it to "Beaner" and its not the same thing, iin fact there isn´t a spanish translation for that.
To compare it, its like if I mute you for calling me South American its not meant to be disrespectful.

Something a bit similar happends with the infamus "N word" there isnt any translation for that, yeah maybe "Negro" but it simply means black and it dosen´t have nearly the same connotation. Thats why we spanish speakers find it hard to understand all that "tabu" with that word and why I cant even say it here as an example.
