I'm spanish speaker and i think that "gringo" isn't a mutable offense because it's not as racist as "beaner" is. It's just a way to call the people from united states but not insulting or trying to offendLast edited on 10 January 2018 - 12:28 PM by DaBakerMC

Yes maybe gringo isnt a racist but how spanish players use it makes it disrespectful like when they say "those fat gringos that just eat Burgers"Posted on 10 January 2018 - 01:08 PM

But gringo isnt something disrespectful its like when Europeans call you "Americans" I think you guys are comparing it to "Beaner" and its not the same thing, iin fact there isn´t a spanish translation for that.To compare it, its like if I mute you for calling me South American its not meant to be disrespectful.
Something a bit similar happends with the infamus "N word" there isnt any translation for that, yeah maybe "Negro" but it simply means black and it dosen´t have nearly the same connotation. Thats why we spanish speakers find it hard to understand all that "tabu" with that word and why I cant even say it here as an example.

Yeah it is, but not too much compared with "negro de mierda" or "negro inferior"
