I think that'd be a pretty uncommon situation though… almost never would someone be able to hold the middle for that long without running away

edit: An alternative solution would be to make it so that after x amount of time in dm has passed, players x blocks close to the border will recieve random damage, and as time goes on that number of blocks increases

as long as maps like breeze island are not on this server then this would definitely be the preferred alternative

holding the middle without moving just by rodding is basically impossible

How about we make a border that closes in DM so that players are forced to fight and when the border gets close enough they are forced to engage.
