First thing's first, please keep in mind that is my understand of the strike system and is in no way meant to talk down upon anyone or question any of my fellow Co-Hosters & Staff. Any negative/disrespectful comment will be deleted. Feedback and your understanding of this system is appreciated.ORIGINAL POST
Good Morning/Afternoon/Night everyone! Badlion has recently come out with some new rules and a new forum of punishment called the "Striking System." This system was something new to you guys aswell as the staff. We as hosts were also just as confused as you guys when it came to the strike system, so the constant misunderstanding of this system is not anyone's fault, so please don't point any fingers or be disrespectful. This whole system was made more specifically to save players from trucers.
I feel as if this system is taken too literally, and not as WHY it was put into place. Players take it as, oh he just one tapped an assigned fight, host death ban!! If you take some time to read the original post you will come along this.

There will be other methods of receiving strikes, but the general rule of thumb is asking yourself "will this make me look like I'm teaming/trucing/rule-breaking/etc?" and if the answer is yes, you will get a strike if it's not enough for a 7d ban.
Explaining the Rules
We can all agree, that when it comes to 100x100 & 50x50 and their are about 15 players left it becomes stressful for both players and the host. Players are afraid of getting cleaned, truced on/2v1'd and hosts are getting handful of reports of trucing. This is why the strike system was put into place. There have been many UHCs where players did not want to fight the player that the host assigned to them because "they fought last" or "they were top kt" or it ended being their friend.
The rules do not limit hosts to only strike in 50x50, the rules state that when it becomes 50x50 they can (essentially) punish players for not listening to them. Players have been seeing it has "if the hosts assigns this fight and they one tap they get deathbanned and I get respawned!" and that we can ONLY deathban and forget that striking is also a thing.
The Strike System Itself
This is the part that most players (and even hosts!) get super confused on. The difference on when to strike and when to deathban.
When to strike
Let's take a moment to go to the original post and re-read what it says!

Strikes will be given out to anything that is perceived to be breaking a rule (trucing, sacrificing, teaming, etc), but not enough evidence to issue an immediate 7d ban. Here are some examples (but not limited to) of offenses that will earn you strikes:
An appropriate time to strike [a] player(s), is when there is a current fight going (unassigned) and third player interferes in the fight, cleaning one player and essentially assisting the opposing. As host assigned fights rules go, wait until one of the two parties have been eliminated and you may clean as you wish.
Another appropriate time to strike, is if found in a 3rd party service (TS/Discord/In Stream Chat etc.) attempting to truce with someone else.
This is not necessarily limited to 50x50 (going off the post.) Hosts can essentially strike before 50x50 and it's allowed.
When to deathban
Deathbanning is strictly used under 3 circumstances.
1)Interfering in a HOST ASSIGNED fight.
Archybot wrote
2) Not listening to the host. (Not fighting the player that was assigned to you)
Archybot wrote
Refusal to fight who the host assigns to the death will result in immediate deathbans.
3) If you have 3 total strikes.
Archybot wrote
.
If at any time you have three (number subject to change) active strikes, you will be deathbanned automatically and will not be able to play Hosted UHCs (rest of network is fine) until your oldest strike expires.
Hopefully this cleared up the air for some of you guys! (If at any point rules have been updated or something has been updated, this post will be changed.
