I want to try to push the concept of topic, and to do so, this is the easiest way.

I think a lot about the topic of love recently. Like less "I like this girl/boy" and more big picture what is love as a concept and how does it connect everything.
I don't know. Western society is objectively ass in a lot of ways but I'm also at a school where it's just kinda cool and hipster-y to say that and prefer "Eastern" stuff. So I'm also a bit disillusioned with shitting on the west.
I guess I'm kind of a Platonist, but that's really just because I enjoy reading Plato. I definitely disagree with him on a lot of stuff (much more follow Shelley's Apology than Republic Book X when it comes to poetry, for example).

Sometimes even when we know the community wants something, we also have to step in and say that it comes from a place of stubbornness, or a lack of information on the topic. Citing these things, for sure, staff teams can go rouge and do whatever the fuck they want and ignore people–I certainly don't want that. But decisions about what is best has to come from a balance–between what the community is vocal for, and what the staff/responsible parties know is coming up ahead, and what can be expected.
