ok so yeah you can tell by the title. the reason im making this is because i know a ton of people want MMR back and are making threads saying “bring back mmr grr” but there’s no singular thread where people can say what they want so here it is.now i don’t want you to reply with anything like “one is bad. one isn’t. the community chose elo before (especially this one, i see so much of this and i think all of the people who want mmr back are glad to admit we were wrong in saying we wanted elo)” is anything along these lines cause ive heard it all.
id like you to reply to this saying which you would prefer and why. don’t say anything like “cause it’s better” cause that’ll start some annoying beef

i want MMR because i felt i could grind knowing that there is a certain goal you must reach as a player to become one of the best (masters) and imo it was just really fun. it showed your real skill level really well. i also felt getting #1 global was difficult to the perfect extent

Huge +1. I feel most of your points are valid such as there was a certain goal. I also liked the Demotion match which gave you another chance and a promotion match. However, with ELO it's either you get it or you don't nothing special at all.Posted on 18 April 2018 - 06:20 PM

+1 I feel as though MMR was much better there was actually a goal to get like Emerald V, Diamond V, then Masters. That's why you saw so many people make Masters videos and Diamond V video's MMR people barely do it anymore.Posted on 18 April 2018 - 06:40 PM

omgwhy is this server still focusing on completely irrelevant things instead of focusing on things like a proper clans/teams system and tournaments? that would be so much more competitive than arena. doesn't matter anyways though, it's too late.

I am personally OK with ELO, but I kinda liked MMR even more. It was a lot harder to rankup, there was a Promote/Demote Match mechanic, grinding was a lot harder as well. I think that the best solution would be this: One Arena Season should be MMR and next Season should be ELO. I think that will make everyone happy. That's just my opinion ofc.After all, good players would always have high ranks and bad players would always have bad ranks. Thats the reason why I am OK with both systems. But, as I already said, I would prefer MMR.
