Badlion's Map Development Team
Hi! I'm Hivlik, and I'm here representing our brand new Badlion Map Development Team. We've heard your requests, and we've begun to act upon them. Already, we have several maps' construction under way, and we are about to start cranking them out to the rotations on the kit pvp servers. All of that said, we're going to need your help if we want to keep these things moving. There are a few ways you can help.

1) First and foremost, keep us updated. Tell us what maps are good and what maps aren't. Tell us why. Tell us how to fix maps and how to build new maps well, and we'll work our hardest to keep you content. After all, we want to keep our Badlion players PvPing on only the finest of surfaces, right?

2) Apply for a map developer rank! Application: https://www.badlion.net/forum/thread/31465 Here you can help us out directly and we'll put you right in the middle of all the building. Good luck if you apply, we'll see you there.

3) We want to start being more integrated with you regarding our map building process, so the third way you can help us out is by making and submitting maps on your own. We (and whoever in the community decides to post) will then review them based on gameplay, aesthetics, and overall whether or not they are worthy of rotations.

I'm gonna give bland descriptions as I don't know names.

Stone map with bedrock and ores: remove. No strafing, tonnes of mini hills and absolutely no flat land

Flower heaven: please get rid.

The wool one with tonnes of walls on the side: It's painful to play in a bow based ladder, people just jumpshot 24/7 and run aroun the rings. At least remove from Archer.

The stone/stone brick one with lava under glass: remove. It's just a cat and mouse game. There's three pillars and it revolves around shooting around them. Once you get on the opponents side, you put yourself at a complete disadvantage cause a good player will wait for you to stop running, and get at least one bow shot, up to three if he reads your strafe. This just encourages the aggressor to run back and regen, especially on Iron I've noticed. It's not a large map, and isin't well played.

The stone around the side with red sand as the floor and no obstacles: remove. 0 obstacles make for a terrible affair, it's relatively small and if you back your opponent against a wall it's impossible to return from that point.

The two small stone brick ones: remove. Just bad maps with 0 space to strafe, and end up playing terribly.

Can you also minimalise the cactii on the cactus map as I feel there's too many, it just turns into a corner shot game.

Snow maps need to have their own rotation. What's the point in MCSG playing when you can't FnS (coming from someone who dislikes MCSG, but still finds it pointless to have non FnS maps). Also can cause lag to some, minimalise snow layers.

Speaking of snow maps, the small one with tonnes of Ice in the middle, and one spawns by a tent and one by a hill should be removed. Tiny map, you can camp the hill really easily, and if you get caught on the ice it's rip.

I've criticised a lot, and could go with a few more maps if I thought more. I know most won't be removed but still hope the criticism is noted!

Not sure the map name but please please please get rid of the one where 75% of the terain is either water or steep ass hills

Hi. I'm not always the guy screaming for flat maps, but the one where you spawn on a icy river where the other guy is on a gigantic hill and it's a tiny map. Yeah that one kinda sucks.

Also just in general I think uhc should have larger maps. The fact that players actually have to get to each other and aren't automatically right next to each other is a pretty significant part of uhc.

+1, Maybe flat terrain with hills or a wall and ect.. but the melee rush maps really get some people.

I think you should try and remove/dont make maps that have small buildings randomly in them. People hide in the buildings for like archer ladder so that they get a free shot at you when you try and shoot them and just doesnt really take as much skill and ruins the ladder when people do it multiple times (i dont know how bad this is on other ladders as i only really play archer)

Please remove it from anything other then the potion ladders, it's so annoying to play on in any ladder that has a bow.

-Keep tall grass/plants to a minimum, with world guard they respawn and cancel your hits, and cock block your pots.
-Please remove any map with a large friggin ravine in the middle of it.
-Structures in general should be natural terrain and not laggy buildings.
-Entitys should be kept as low as possible if not 0 (I.E picture frames/signs)
-Ice is the bane of many pvpers existence, please have no ice maps.
-The little sand map with the water and then a little island, please fill that in, or put bridges
-When the maps get implemented please space them out a considerable amount of blocks so players in other maps don't see name tags/get pot effects.
-In the Pokemon stadium map please modify the game to play the elite 4 theme music

What happened to all the old Badlion maps? I don't see too many of the old ones anymore, and most people were happy with them. Except for emerald mines..

Personally, I think most of the current ones have to go.

The 4 biome isn't hard to clean up imo. It is just too cramped. Although, we should make it only 1 biome.

I don't like glass/ice on the floor as it breaks combos/strafes as you are slowed down (imo), not sure what anyone else thinks.
