Current Badlion Votes

@Ny_ You honestly don't know what it's like to run after a player after you lose speed and fire res, after 10 minutes of running you just wanna give up. The people who play kohi with rods and bows are absolute scumbags and should honestly be banned. There are no rods in the official kohi kit, so why in the badlion kit? To give peple that are good at MCSG a chance at being good at kohi? Basically what's happening now is, instead of learning to be good at kohi, these mcsg skillers decide they are just going to fuck around with everyoone and completely ruin the fun. Being competetive is one thing, but being a douche just for some spare elo is a dick move.

Actually, it is in the official kohi kit.

Not on their practice 2 kits or their practice 1 kits. I've played kohi factions many seasons and never seen a rod used in a pvp situation. I've seen them used to fish, like they are supposed to be used :D

Just because you've never seen it doesn't mean that it can't be used. It is a new style of pvp, but a style nonetheless. Anyway, I voted to remove them. I'm not the guy with whom you want to fight.

How in the name of god does a fishing rod not require aim , i quite frankly dont care about what happens with rods in kohi and stuff , but its a bit dumb that you'd insist that its a poor representation of skill. If it was simple to use , everyone would use it imo. But what do i know , im an MCSG scrub.

You misunderstand. I was not saying that a fishing rod does not required aim (it does, but still, all you have to do is run backwards and point at the player while holding right click). I was saying that by using the fishing rod they don't have to know how to get combos, aim their hits, strafe, etc. You being a MCSG "scrub" doesn't mean anything, because if everybody used the rod in vanilla and kohi the same way they use it in MCSG, I would have no problem. It's the running out of buffs that makes me salty :c

Because they are good at fishing rod or want to get better. Because it gives them an edge against an opponent that would have normally beaten them. Because it's available in the original kohi kit as well as the kohi kit we offer. And why not?

Not trying to fight, trying to inform you.

And this pvp style has been around for a while, it just now got popular because it is a easy way for people to gain undeserved ELO. I highly doubt I will be seeing rods used the same way they are in the ladders in Kohi factions, simply because nobody would fight somebody who runs in a circle bowing and rodding for 15 minutes, they would just kite away. On the topic of kiting, I could see them be used in such a situation to keep people away from you, but that's not what the Kohi ladder (or the Vanilla ladder for that matter) is about, nor is that what Badlion's practice pvp server is about (You know what I mean by this, and I can't really seem to put it into words). Another place I could see them used would be to actually fight somebody, like they are used in MCSG. I would have no problem with that, but that's not how they are used (:c).
Regardless,
I'm glad you voted to remove rods, and I'm glad that you have enough sense to not be pushed around on internet forums, but I just want you to know that I was not trying to fight with you. If i come off that way, its usually just my personality talking ;c

Please excuse my grammar, it's late and I'm too lazy to proofread.

EDIT:
Just saying, if fishing rods are currently being used in Kohi, then I must be very far behind. I pvp almost daily and have not once seen this method used. (with the exception of one occasion where a fellow in Iron armor used a rod to kite, which I previously said I had no problem with)

I strongly agree with what iKanuck and Badware said, using a rod in MCSG is a complete scumbag and a sweaty to move, to think that you'd rather have a 10+ minute long match and get some (God forsaken, not to be lost) elo, rather than have 3-4 normal and fun matches and lose some elo, that's just a dick move in my opinion and a sign of just a plain try harding dick.

The fishing rod was never even meant to use in PvP, it was to get food, I see how people came up with this idea, and I like how smart people are to abuse what you can do with it, but only in MCSG, it's been put into chests in their official games, so why not use it in a practice server, however in Kohi, it's literally just used to get food to start off, just as Badware said, I've never seen anyone use a fishing rod on Factions, and isn't Badlion Kit PvP what that's all about?
Practicing a PvP scenerio that might actually happen.
If any of you have EVER encountered someone on any Factions server that used a Rod to stall out the fight and wait out your buffs, you must've been really fucking unlucky, cause it never happened to me, and I played on different faction servers for over a year now.

https://www.badlion.net/match/kitpvp/3177854

This is the exact reason why I think it should be removed.

It was a 10 minute long match, he used the rod to get me away from him, when I would get away, he would use the bow to do damage, and when I got back closer, he would repeat, and after those 10 long ass minutes, he still did it whenever I got him in a combo.

Notice how I have less sword dura, meaning I hit him more than he hit me, but look at the armour dura difference.

Once again, I'll say that whoever uses a rod in Kohi / Any pot ladder is a complete dick and scumbag in my opinion and I don't have any respect for those kind of people.

I am uploading a video of what it is like, sadly I only started recording towards the end but the match went on for 8 minutes. The opponent ran around the map rod and bow spamming. This guy dared to say "GG" just to instigate what would have been a toxic reply on my part if I weren't muted.

Why is it necessary for 60% to be reached before you'll change it? If the general consensus of the Badlion community votes against fishing rods (e.g 53%) why should you need more?

IMO if it's not 51% to win either way, it should be the opposite and there needs to be 60% of votes to KEEP the fishing rod in said kits. This is simply because keeping the fishing rod will cause more objections if kept then it will if gotten rid of based on all of the reports about rod spammers.

Hope you understand where I'm coming from.

It's simple, because it's a change. If it was just a pure vote for something new, it would be majority wins. If I'm changing something, I want a STRONG majority, not just a few votes swaying.

I'd say 56 living souls isn't a few votes swaying. Removing the rods has kept the majority by 5% for the past 2 days now, and over 500 people have voted. That's the majority of the community (who uses the forums, at least), and a strong majority at that.

On a side note, most people voting in favor of the rod have actually never even played kohi / vanilla ladders (from their match history). If a poll ever again emerges similar to this one, you should really keep it only to players of said ladder. In other words, not have, say, 200 people who've never played the ladder vote…

But really, I appreciate that you are listening to your community, and even if the poll ends without the requisite votes, it may enlighten you to how many people truly want the rod removed.

56 living souls compared to the 50,000 unique players who play on badlion per day

That's such a huge majority

Just saying,
500 votes. 50 is 10% of the votes, and in terms of our poll its 10.894941634 %, so more like 11% of the votes.
If there were 50,000 votes, my earlier statement would be different.
That was a very poor counter-argument you just used…
Your move :D

Edit-
If you going to say that 11% of the votes don't make that big of a difference…………………

The only people voting are people who have a strong opinion one direction or the other. If the vocal majority were so strong and so right about everyone hating it, that vote would be heavily swayed towards remove. It's not - It's just barely winning. When I was spamming it on alerts, it was HEAVY sided towards keeping it, then I stopped spamming it and it slowly switched. The forum minority does NOT speak for the whole player base, and you're crazy if you think it does.

EDIT: I just sent it to the server once and it went from 70 vote difference to 50 vote difference, and if I send it every 15 minute or so, I guarantee it will slowly rotate back.
