I have been playing badlion for so long, and I have only just realized how unfair the way elo or ranking works. Build UHC was announced and I decided I wanted to be on the top of the leaderboards. I have gotten my rank to 1970, and lost one time to a guy ranked 1400, and lost 31 elo points. If I was to win that fight, I would earn maybe 1-4 elo. In no way is this fair. Please take this into account and fucking fix your shit Badlion…. This is what I mean. https://imgur.com/9DUa4oEPosted on 14 August 2015 - 09:31 PM
thats how elo fucking works, if you're not good enough for 1900 then thats it, jeesus. what the fuck would be the point of you gaining as much as losing? that's basicly just about how plays the most, like wtf.now fix your shit, weenie_brain.

This is fair, lol if you beat a low skilled player it was assumed it was easy, so they give you lower elo. if a 1400 beats a 1900 obviously the 1400 is good or is a cheater, its fairPosted on 14 August 2015 - 09:44 PM
If the elo system was like you want it to be it would be way too easyPosted on 14 August 2015 - 10:44 PM
If this was the way the elo system was oporated then everyone could be 2000+ elo.Posted on 15 August 2015 - 10:48 AM
Well if ur 2k and u lose 32 elo to a 1.4k after he lava spams, rod spams, bow spams and wins w/o a rod and no gaps left u obv are sqlty (/°~°)/Posted on 15 August 2015 - 02:56 PM
If ELO is so shit then please come up with another ideaPosted on 15 August 2015 - 03:04 PM
KDR is the only competative solution I can see, and it's not the best idea as the more you play, the harder it gets, and it's hard to really make a leader board with it work since 0 losses = infinite KDR. ELO is the best system for the job as it's based on your current ability, not cumilative.Posted on 16 August 2015 - 07:53 PM

I agree. ELO is a good way to test ability because your opponents are not only players with the same level as you. They are all the players in the queue and there needs to be some differential between your ability and theirs. That way, new players will not lose 30 ELO for losing to someone of your status.

I am 1810 ELO build uhc. and I agree with staff that there ELO system is fair. If a 1400 were to beat me, I expect them to get more elo from me than for me to get from them cause im better according to ELO. I also agree with the 2nd part. 1810 elo is my skill level right now, that wasnt my skill level a year ago when I first started pvpingPosted on 16 August 2015 - 09:02 PM
wait a second though, @de_fortunity why you talkin shit when you have 1700 elo?Posted on 16 August 2015 - 10:27 PM

The elo system is completely fair. When you are that high in rank you should lose a lot for losing a fight. If you lose to a 1400 then you deserve to go down a lot in rankPosted on 19 August 2015 - 05:58 PM
Life isn't fair buddyIf you lose to very low elo players then maybe you don't deserve 1900 lol

This is how elo works if you have a lot you gain slow if you have low you gain faster if it would not be so more than 50% of the server would be over 2000 and that would make playing ranked useless.Posted on 21 August 2015 - 12:38 AM

Don't be rude first of all, second of all this actually makes sense, maybe it is a glitch indeed, but look at it this way,i'm going to make this simple as possible so i am going to use MCGamer for example, when you have A LOT of points, when you die you lose a lot,and when you kill a player that has small amount of points you get 60pts,its the same with ELO ranking system, think about it before you speak. And maybe there is an idea behind all of this,DON'T LOSE,should be stimulating to your pvp skills.

@MasterGberry I think he has some opinion for this topic.
