Is naming your mc character "(Insert star wars person's name here)_Dies_In_StarWars" bannable? and can you ask in chat "Msg me who dies in the new StarWars movie"Posted on 28 December 2015 - 07:45 PM

My personal sentiment here goes against that of the admins, and I believe that a week ban over movie spoilers is over the top. However, this is a final decision, and there's no discussion to be had here. It's simple, and I'm unsure as to what you're finding difficult to interpret here. I don't believe Badlion has ever guaranteed a popular vote for decisions, and I'm curious about how and why you assumed that. However from my experience and history with the admins, I feel that they tend to make decisions with the benefit of the server's users in mind. Be it a decision made with thinking or feeling, almost all decisions they've made put their players first. Banning for spoiling seems extreme to me, but it hasn't led to any ramifications that may contradict my previous statement. I also personally believe that popular vote isn't always the way to go; the archer ladder kit this season and lack of global mute during the Paris attacks were both decided by popular vote, and I'm not particularly fond of what came of the decisions. As for the innocent players getting banned for spoiling – the rules are right here and there are (if I remember correctly) in-game alerts that warn players about spoiling the movie. Innocent? I think not.
First of all if your beliefs are inclined opposite to the administrators why not address it to them and try to find a resolve and reason rather than accepting there is no discussion needed. I apologize if you have and I so happened to make an assumption but if even a senior moderator disagrees with the decision at hand you are certainly not the only one which is why I strongly persist in the belief that matters which result with such consequence should be evaluated with the feedback of users and other staff rather then this being an administrative decision. For I am witnessing a lot of bias and personally believe this rule was not made for the benefit of users but primarily to fit the delights of the owners. They even stated they like the movie which propels me to ponder this way. Nevertheless, I do not want to stray but want to address all your points in an efficient manner. To begin with, I am not calling your statement biased but it would seem so considering you are a senior moderator and you are saying that the owners always do it for the benefit of the players, yet we can clearly see both of them are huge star wars fans which contradicts that statement bringing the matter to something personal which leads me to believe the rule originated from their fondness of the two series and not wanting to be spoiled. For if the rule was centered around players rather then them, I would expect the owners to create some type of poll or questionnaire yet none were present within a rule that can get a player banned for a week. Secondly there are no in-game alerts on the matter, the only time where the system prohibits you is when you use the literal word starwars or something along those lines. But to be honest rarely will anyone the word "starwars" when making a statement. For the most common way of discussing a topic would be to use a character when expressing something that has occurred in the movie for example "yoda dies" (just an example). This would not be filtered by the system and I have done a check to see if the word Yoda is filtered which it is not and have proof to concrete my statement. Finally, this serer was made into the size it is due to the people. If we don't take popular vote and begin creating verdicts on our own personal interests we could possibly lose the upgrades and materials needed to making this server as beneficial and sufficient as it is. My skype is fangblade13 if you want to further converse with me on the topic but I would be really glad if this rule is changed based on my statement in reply to yours.

1. We are both fans of it
2. It's by far (and will remain) the most looked forward to movie(s) of the decade.
Sorry for creating two separate posts I just wanted to address yours in a clear and organized fashion.
1) As said before, I believe as individuals we should put aside our aspirations and distastes and go with what the majority desires. I understand that you are an avid liker to the movie Starways but I as the majority would like a say in matters that result in bans. For in the end it can negatively affect many players who were not aware as the system filters out certain words which I personally believe are not as used as actual character names and places within the movie.
2) I have answered this question above and as Archy said there were no logs about the Avengers however that is one instance out of many popular movies. We had many movies such as Mocking Jay which were tremendously popular and a vast amount which were aired whilst Badlion was running yet none of them had this rule revolved around it. All I desires of, is for you as owners to not only apply certain rules in specific situations but allocate your regulations to all instances that have the same conditions.
Finally, in no way shape or form am I trying to be a dick and consider remarks such as dick or dumbass personal advancements to me. In no way to do I desire to short change anyone but brought forth my ideas to protect the ideals of the majority. Disagreeing with me is a right to all those who do but publicly swearing and lashing out at me does not prove your argument at all (and sorry for quoting you in the whole thing MasterGberry I know you weren't doing any of this). Hopefully my statements are evaluated by the admins in the future and you can witness my personal point of view. Thank you all!

I don't even think that fits in the allotted space for the names xDPosted on 29 December 2015 - 02:01 AM
Man,Too many spoilers of Star Wars on servers is huge issue I am very happy a server has finally mentioned this issue and it ruins the Buisness for the theatres because then you know what's included in the movie and then you won't want to go watch it in theatres then theatres will make less money and so on.Posted on 29 December 2015 - 02:03 AM
Is there a command to make your donator for 30 days expire? That's useful and should be includedPosted on 29 December 2015 - 02:03 AM
If you have donator for 30 days and you want donator forever can you buy donator forever and it will be upgraded?Posted on 29 December 2015 - 01:47 PM
