I'm on my phone, if I say something unintelligible just ask and I'll be happy to clarify. Also, I've tried my best to separate my arguments here from my predispositions as a staff member, (and more importantly as somebody who for the most part is not good at butterfly clicking) but it's impossible to entirely rid myself of these biases, so take my opinion carefully and under that consideration.

1. Stimpay cheated, there's no question there. You don't have to be an admin to know this, there's solid evidence from a community standpoint. I'll elaborate if you really want, but it's a pretty boring argument - some dude came out and admitted this whole scheme the minehq staff had, and he totally outed Stimpay. I was also not particularly surprised by Gloryblade's ban, but a few in particular have raised red flags for me, namely DJThread and Pippiter, although admittedly I have done very little research on either case.

2. GCheat is not and never claimed to be flawless. That's not how code works. I've never seen an admin officially say that GCheat accounts for lag of any sort, so it's likely that any false bans were caused either by Internet lag or CPU lag.

3. Butterfly clicking is not legit, to put it plainly. If you can figure out a way to get butterfly clicking to work without setting off the extra clicks, I'm all for it, but until that point, it should stay illegal. Badware, I read your post, but I still hold my opinion that getting that extra click by vibrating the switch shouldn't be legal. That's more of an opinion based argument, and I'm sure that I stand where I do because of my personal bias, and that you stand where you do because of yours. However, even if that bias is leading me to think this, I still see the most logic in classifying that hammer click motion as an illegal click.

4. Nicosby, your arguments are way off. First of all, clicking higher CPS while maintaining the same aim is a HUGE advantage in Minecraft pvp. Saying that Minecraft shouldn't be competitive doesn't make your argument any better. Finding new ways to make pvp easier should be encouraged, not frowned upon. I assume that you don't know much about the bow meta, but I could make a million analogies that would relate to this. Between dark rusting, long distance dodging, the 'sweat' neck breaker strafe, and whatever else people do to get their bow game more consistent, that's what people have been trying to do since the dawn of Minecraft, and there's no reason that shouldn't be allowed.

5. The reason that so little evidence is provided these days is because it makes it that much harder for client developers to bypass GCheat. That's a worthy cause, is it not?

6. Those kohi guys that get banned are probably hacking. I play both servers, it's an artificial clicker wasteland over there.

7. The reason today that I'm okay with GCheat is because it's far more accurate than any human staff team. Just the other day we saw MqdeInHolland get banned by a human and get unbanned because he wasn't cheating. At the start, I thought GCheat would be secretive and shitty, but time and time again it's been proven accurate. And time and time again our human staff team makes mistakes. Yeah, GCheat false bans now and then, but there's no way in hell it's less accurate than a staff team - any staff team. Plus it's banned a fuck load of people lmao

There must be some way the Gberry or Archybot could crate a check that allows Butterfly clicking and not allow a double click macro. Again, hopefully the client side anticheat is coming soon.

I doubt it

I never said minecraft shouldn't be competitive, I never said a high cps is useless, I just said getting stupidly hugh cps THIS WAY (butterfly clicking) is really unfair and cheap. I do know having higher cps actually helps, I can actually get quite good cps sometimes and I see it actually works. I just don't understand why people think getting (stupidly) high cps this way is okay. I'm okay with any other way to make pvp easier, as long as there's no glitch abuse, unfair advantage or cheat involved.
Some examples:
Blockhitting. It wasn't supposed to actually be part of the game, it is a glitch and that's why I've never abused it. Some people think it is okay because everyone can do it (I agree, everyone can), but it actually isn't. They're (ab)using a glitch, which is not okay IMO.

Rod trick. Seriously one of the stupidest things ever. Abusing a glitch, not okay IMO.

Butterfly clicking. As you said

That's pretty much what I was trying to say in my posts.

The bow is my favourite pvp tool in Minecraft, I know how it works and how people managed to find easier ways to use it. These aren't glitch/bug abuses though. There's no "bow glitches" you can abuse. As I said, I'm okay with whatever doesn't involve the (ab)use of a glitch/bug/cheat/unfair advantage.
I do want people to come up with new ideas, tricks, tactics, as long as they're not glitch-abusing or getting a huge unfair advantage.

You are actually clicking the button to click twice when butterfly clicking. Please do more research on this.

And it registers as how many clicks?

2 clicks

well technically it doesn't change any mouse function, it's one click per switch press, eg totally legit.

Very well said.

It's good to get confirmation of what I suspected all along, that Stimpay was cheating to attempt to discredit GCheat. I don't know what DJthread's deal is, but I've watched him for a long time and he's never looked anything but legit and highly skilled to me. My guess is either GCheat made a mistake or he had a scenario similar to Stimpay's, cheating to discredit GCheat. He could be a closet cheater, but if he is he's using the best ghost client in the world.

Butterfly clicking is illegal and will stay illegal as long as legalizing it would allow illegal macros. That's about all there is to say about it.

Kohi has many highly skilled players, but it's clear that a lot of the high level pot pvpers over there use either clients or autoclickers.

My issue with no longer showing GCheat logs is that it gives the administration a worse rep. It's true that this hurts client creators, but it also brings up the possibility of staff faking GCheat bans. As a member of staff and a player of Badlion, I know staff would never do this. But much of the rest of the community hasn't had the experiences I have had.

People whine about GCheat, but tell me honestly: would you rather not have it and go the route of MCGamer?

I have cross confirmed with two people that DJ had a custom client.

You guys are saying "Allow butterfly clicking" like its that simple… Butterfly clicking allows someone to get 20+ cps with little to no effort. This takes away the principles of the game being swing as fast as you can click because technically you are just doubling what you should have as a cps. Also, those who dont butterfly click would be demolished and would probably just quit the game. Lets think about this for a second. Gcheat Autoclicker detects steady, high click speeds. It doesnt matter if you get 25 cps as long as it is unsteady because no human can keep the same high click speed to the exact hundredths place for 5 minutes…. Butterfly clicking, is very easy to do, meaning that it is easier to keep a steady cps which sets off the logs and gets you banned. You cant just enable it, it would go against Gcheat's coding, and if you could find a way to disable it, it would extremely weaken gcheat, allowing many people with an auto clicker to remain unbanned. You cant just say things like "Just allow it" if you have no clue what you are getting into. I would think that someone like Archy, whom goes to one of the best coding schools in the country could figure out an anti cheat that is pretty damn near as good as you can get.

If it was his own custom client then how does GCheat have a ban check for it?

custom doesn't mean that every aspect of it is original and/or undetectable

I really wish staff would disclose more information for high profile bans like this. Badlion could be doing this for more publicity, which is evidently working. I see Youtubers posting videos saying "too much for Gcheat" way too often. Some of them do client though, but some of these bans could be staged to generate publicity. It would be a smart thing to do.

1. Butterfly clicking does take effort, but is easier then jitter clicking. Butter fly clicking is safer for your arm too. I highly doubt you could easily do 20 cps with butterfly clicking while pvping right now.

2. Just because jitter clicking is harder, doesn't mean it has to be the way we PvP. Work smarter, not harder.

3. Read the thread. We didn't say just allow it. Next time read the whole thread before you post please.
