I am curious. I have no idea how people are hitting me from 5 blocks away. I can only hit about 3 or 4. Any tips or tricks???

If they have lower ping, it looks like they are closer to you than they are for you. It could also look like a 5 block reach when you have delayed knockback so the hits kind of stack up. Or hax are also possible of course :p

Yea I know its ping but what I am curious about is how on my screen it looks like they are hitting me from 5 blocks away and it could be different on theirs. This happens almost every fight and I have no idea how I manged 1800 elo.

I also know about regedit but there are other servers that don't allow it so I would rather not get banned from their anticheat lol

You could have two registories. One with regedit and one without, choose the one for the specific server then you dont have to worry ;)

o lord

I don't even want to take that risk xd
I think I'll just do without. Im used to having days where I gain 150 elo and then lose 150 and just repeating that every week at least once. It sucks but ill manage.

I'm going to supply correct information here, to clear things up.

Incorrect, this isn't how windows functions. There is only one registry although you can load alternative backups of registry trees. This is horribly impractical though.

You can't 'detect' if a user is using it. As Archy made clear it's patching a bug that exists in windows. Mac users don't even need to patch this bug since it's managed in a different way.

This is how it's meant to be 5.0 blocks according to the server is the largest allowed hit range. The more latency you have, the closer to the player you have to be to be to reach them. Here's a diagram.
http://puu.sh/mPSrf/2f61b39377.png
Since the other player starts moving at the start, you will always be 1.4 blocks away from reality if you had say 300ms delay. This is because you're receiving/sending the data 0.3 seconds later than how the server sees things and as the server can't allow you to hit over 5 blocks according to what data it has, you won't be able people if you're lagging.

The less both you and your enemy are lagging, the closer you'll be to reality and the larger the hit range will be for you on your client.
People will be able to hit you from further away purely as they have a much smaller latency than you. The changes suggested won't actually change your latency significantly, that's down to your ISP and where you live - neither of which I'd imagine are in your control.

Seems like an accurate explanation, except I'm pretty confident the hit range is not 5 blocks. While running at each other it might seem that way (latency), but try standing still and hitting someone from 5 blocks away. It's more like 3 blocks.

The server is always behind each client. If players are standing still, the server has caught up to the player. What I'm saying is, the second the player starts running, you're not seeing the player in the correct place due to latency as their movements are happening to you after they've happened - enlarging the actual gap between two players.

ping doesn't effect it that much, try jitterclicking and rod spamming

To see all these comments that say OMG ping is the only way to get better reach… Probaly the most AIDS thing I have saw all day there is no way to impoverished your vanilla reach (idk what to call it lol) without hacking you can how ever w tap which will give the illusion to your oppenent of you getting farther hits aka 8 blocking but it is just basically an illusion and does not affect the actual reach you have

HOW TO GET MORE REACH AND HIGHER ELO

Step 1: get a ghost client

Step 2: find reach

Step 3: Set it to 3.7 or something

Step 4: congrats 2k elo global
