+1I think when people look at ladders, they have a tendency to only vote for things they think that they will be good at. I would vote for 3 new variations on archer ladder to be created, but of course I know that's an awful idea. In the same vein, I hate horse ladder with a passion and would not miss it at all if it was removed, however I think it is a good ladder to have because it reflects a unique skillset and style of PvP that you don't see on any other 1v1 server or ladder. It forces those who want to attain top global ELOs to learn more different types of fighting.
Most people look at combo and say, "I have x cps, decent ping, and melee is cool, let's add combo!" You pointed out the problems really well though, and with its similarities to the already existing GApple, I don't think it's worthy of being anything more than a novelty unranked game.

The first part is no big deal, people like me & combodombo are consistent af and only lose to good players such as each other. There are multiple problems - one, it's far too similar to gapple.
Two, it uses a very different hit system than any other ladder, which is far more cps reliant than any other ladder.
Three, many GCheat checks will be disabled.
Four, in addition to GCheat, it's nearly impossible to moderate by recording, creating the very real possibility of both a leaderboard full of cheaters and many false bans.
