From some of the stuff i read here, i think some of the issues are caused by players staying in the respawn screen, so i would just say developers should add an automatic respawn after X seconds of being killed (if using spigot, player.spigot.respawn() will do the trick)Posted on 15 February 2016 - 06:21 PM

Since there are many ladder duels, regular duels, etc probably the amount of chunks being loaded at the same time aswell as usage such as buckets (water and lava) being used excessively and such is mainly, aswell when you win the match mostly people would fly up and load new chunks that werent loaded and actually that could be making the server lag.How to fix this:
Possibly removing the ladders that make you break blocks, but not for build since it is the ladder that people most play; cap the players in arena pvp to around 750 as before since now that it is 1000 it lags more often that it did before, aswell you shouldnt have lava and water lag machine at the same time and being used regularly, aswell lower like the radius of how lava and water are so it doesnt lag machine.

It was the bug where people randomly appear then die during a ranked match.
Now, this could be a wacky coincidence or nothing at all, but whenever I went on my alt and dueled myself UHC, and when the alt died, I didn't respawn it until another match had started on that map. When I respawned it, on my main I saw that it had briefly appeared. Again, idk if this is anything and I hope I didn't waste your time, but if it is something then yw, I tried to help

I had a weird thing where I joined an event and then it didn't start because there were not enough players so I then joined some build UHC ranked matches and after about 30 seconds in each game it teleported me to the arena PvP spawn and then it spammed the words Not enough players to start the event and the guy I was against stayed in the arena??! I then msg'd a mod and they told me to relog and after that it stopped. Also I was in two games at the same time because when it happened the first time the person stuck in the arena msg'd me saying 'where did you go? I'm still in the arena' but I was already fighting another person?! I also did not receive any message about losing any ELO or anything.I think I was recording at the time as well but I'm not completely sure. If I was recording I cannot show the footage right now because I don't have computer access atm. Once I am able to get back on I will check whether I got the recording and I will edit it in to this post

I don't think UHC's are the cause, because while a UHC is hosted other SG and mini uhc don't lag so i don't think hosting less would help.Posted on 16 February 2016 - 07:58 PM
I think having an auto respawn plugin can fix the lag because I have experienced this glitch and the way it works for me is that my game doesn't let me hit respawn or return to title screen so i'm forced to restart my game, then when I re-log and go into the same arena pvp server i was in before it makes me hit respawn another time (i'm not sure why), so an auto respawn can fix this issue and maybe the lag.Here is a link to an auto respawn plugin: http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/autorespawnplus/

Was this before January 30th? There was a bug with LMS that I fixed around that time and I think that this was causing your issue.

In some servers I've seen, if you were to be killed in an SG or 1v1, you wouldn't actually see the 'Respawn' screen - instead you were just tp'ed out of the arena. This could help stop being in two matches at once issue in 1v1. However this could be more difficult in party fights as dead players would need/want to spectate. This doubt it will help the 100k chunk update error but could possibly stop the glitch mentioned by WhatTheFork.
