They could do mute-worthy offenses in helpop.Also, /sc is just the same as typing coords in chat

I know its my fault that i got muted but there's a hacker right in front of my face and i cant do nothing about it because /helpop doesnt work when i'm muted and i know about /report but this has also happen to me in team games and i have to wait 5 mins for each report :(Posted on 21 February 2016 - 07:30 PM

Think about it this way - I mute people for saying inappropriate things in helpop etc. I would be muting people and it would not have a purpose because they can still say inappropriate things in helpop. -1. Helpop is still a form of communication, like ./msg. If you were muted, you shouldn't be given the privilege to communicate. ./report on the other hand limits you to just stating who should be punished in a formal manner.Last edited on 23 February 2016 - 02:52 AM by Viretine
As was already said above, we don't allow muted players to use /helpop for a few reasons.First off, as a form of punishment. You have obviously broken our servers rules and therefore, you've been muted. You have had the privilege of the chat taken away from you. Allowing you to communicate through helpop would just be pointless, especially seeing as we have /report. I don't think people realise how closely we monitor the reports that come our way. Just because we haven't verbally thanked you for the report, or said that we are watching, 99% of the time, we are.
Secondly, /helpop is often used by players in extremely inappropriate ways. Imagine a player that was muted for the misuse of /helpop. What reason would there be for the mute if the player can just continue to unnecessarily abuse their privilege of helpop?
We like when people use /helpop to get us to check a player out, but if you cannot do your bit and behave in chat, then you will have to settle with reporting the player and moving on.
