People that alt(and drain people purposely) ruin the WHOLE elo system. I will explain why now, If an alt drains me 100 elo and other 3 people 100 elo, then that means that we have less elo, and because of that me and that other 3 people are gonna get more elo when we beat a certain guy since our elo is lower then what it was, and the guy that we beat is gonna have a lower elo so he will get more elo from other people and so-on. now this happens because the guy that alts(for the purpose of this lets say he is the most skilled person on a 1400 elo account) gets more elo so a share of the elo pool goes to him again, so if he has a 1000 alts and he plays in all of them that will mean that his alts will be SUPER high elo but the people below him will start at 1900 (for build that is REALLY low). that is why I personaly think that altig (for draining purposes) should be disallowed, it just ruins the whole elo system.Posted on 10 April 2016 - 02:27 AM
forgot to mention that every 100 alts (assuming that badlion has an overall 6000 unique players that have ever played on the server in a specific season, and also that every alt gets from 1400 to 2k) make every single person (on average) to lose 1 elo. and there are way more then 100 alts right now, so just think about it.Posted on 10 April 2016 - 02:41 AM

This was a way to demonstrate how it effects the elo system, there are way more then 100 alts aswell.

Not one person, I know many people which have more then 1 alt, and in a bigger scale its an issue.

also doesnt matter if they get 2k, its almost elo manipulation in my eyes since some people that dont deserve elo gain elo and some people lose elo when they dont deserve it, there is no reason a guy should drop elo because a guy feels like alting and draining people, and besides that it somewhat ruins the whole elo system.Posted on 10 April 2016 - 02:49 AM

arround 0.5/1 i'd say (in general, people with higher elos have more alts it seems and that is what makes the difference.)

Dont forget that ANY shared account adds up to here, elo manipulation aswell, Bans, everything, so people that alt and drain make it worse.

When people hack the elo system is effected too, Basicly anything that is UNFAIR changes the elo system, so the least you can do is make all of them unfair (elo manipulating and hacking are not allowed so why should alting be? you ban people because it ruins the server when someone cheats and people lose elo, its basicly the same with alting, the whole point is to have a competition and if a guy just participates 1000 times it ruins the competition.)Posted on 10 April 2016 - 03:01 AM
