Importance of Click speed
I was drunk(not rlly) when i made this post.
I thought 10ms =1 sec
That's wrong but the main idea can still be seen.
Thanks H2Q for pointing it out.

———————————-

Many people believe click speed doesn't matter, or Minecraft only registers 10 cps or 4 cps.
I'm going to put an end to this here.

Example:
Each server has a different set hit delay speed. (Some servers registers clicks faster than others; if you've ever played on mineplex, you would know that clicking fast there is a big deal.)

Lets say Server 1 has a hit delay of 4 ms

Here is a diagram of the hit delay of the server:

I____I____I____I____I____I____I____I____I____I____I

The "__" area is when the server registers your click/hit. "_" Is one ms (millisecond)

The "I" areas is where the person hits, or when the server hit delay is over.

Here is a diagram of a person who clicks 10 cps or every 0.1 of a second:

I_I_I_I_I_I_I_I_I_I_I_I_I_I_I_I_I_I_I_I_I_I_I_I

Here is a diagram of a person who clicks 6 cps or every 0.6 a second:

I______I______I_____I______I______I_____I

Now lets put these diagrams together:

https://gyazo.com/26c0f86b97cd995184ba36ec226ad340

Getting the hit before your opponent is very vital, as many pvpers know, as you can get a combo on the person your fighting.

So here's a short summary:
-Click speed does matter
-Faster click speed increases your chances of getting a combo

But you always have to keep in mind LATENCY of sending packets to the server and receiving them , RANGE of your melee attacks , and when your crosshair is on your opponents HITBOX (aim).

If I said anything wrong, please let me know.

If you want another thread on how a combo works, tell me down there (arrow pointing down)

actually, 6 cps is not 0.6s but around 1.666666666…(it goes fucking on)
so even 2 cps is enough if you time the clicks perfectly

Actually 6 cps is a click every 0.6 of a second.

10 millisecond is 1 second

I've fixed it tho cause i said 0.6 ms xD

Click speed only matters for high pingers. If you take a look at this vid made by stampylongnose:

You can see that he is only clicking around 6-8 cps, but the reason he doesn't have to jitter click like me or anyone else is because of the ping he gets and how much KB he takes as well. If he was jitter clicking during that video I'm sure he would've beaten Deextra with a lot more pots, but he has no need to. I think the only time he has ever jitter clicked is when he gets ganked in holes and has to block hit so he jitters both left and right click. I used him as an example specifically because the community sees him as the top PvPer and think he jitter clicks or whatever.

Ummm..he gets 8-10 cps…..

And i also stated that latency and other factors play a big role..

Just listen to the clicks and you'll be able to tell. Oh and yes, you said there are other factors but I simply stated that mostly people who have high ping jitter click.

Yeah i know thats stimpy lol, I said stampylongnose as a joke (not quite sure if you took it or not young man) and yeah he says 8-10 cps, but I clicked 8-10 cps like 3m ago and it sounded nothing like that. His sounds more of 6-8

Yea ik that was a joke lol. Stamplylongnose plays on xbox i think.
But the point of this thread was to prove the importance of fast click speed.
Stimpay would be better if he clicked faster.

not all mice sound the same, plus you have to take into account stuff like distance from sound recording device, the audio and video going through editing that probably alters the noise.

Yeah, i don't get why people say cps doesn't matter/minecraft only registers 4 cps, because it clearly doesn't. I think the cap is higher than even 10 cps. Just look at different people who click different speeds. There's a reason why people butterfly for 17+ cps, i think they know that they're not wasting that 7+ cps

my logic with butterfly clicking was that if you could give yourself an advantage by clicking faster, why wouldn't you? Then it became an argument of whether or not it's an unfair advantage and the rest is history.

a game shouldn't be about click speed but the performance of the player

Tbh the only unfair part of it is the double clicking where it registers 3 cps when it should only register 2. That's the only reason people get gcheat banned by it anyways.
