What? I added the NCAA part so people wouldn't be confused about how I get an ED.

The redaction was because of that edit, since I was questioning it. However, I still have never heard of NCAA recruits being able to bypass single-choice early action for elite schools, especially since they haven't even started reviewing the early applications yet.

UC Berkely

there's more :P
Getting into a UC school if you're out of state can be quite difficult. Some more to add on could be USC, they're rising up in the rankings, Caltech, and UCSD or UCSB as safety schools if California is a big attraction for you.

If you're a recruit under NCAA you get a lot of early privileges… Also a lot of "elite schools" have already accepted ED applicants such as Cal, Yale, Harvard, MIT, and more.

I thought Archybot or MasterGBerry said that when Varicks retired, they would be happy to write a recommendation letter if he wanted, so who knows! :p
Source? If that's true that's sweet.

Ah. Some of those schools don't even offer ED, but rather EA. And none of those schools have done that yet for early students yet. It's November 1st when the early applications are due (letters come out usually by the end of the year) and has been for a long time.

Finished common app on Sunday, here's my list:

U Michigan
U Madison Wisconsin
U Minnesota
U Massachusetts Amherst
U Vermont
SUNY Binghamton
SUNY Albany
SUNY Geneseo
SUNY New Paltz
SUNY Stony Brook

As you can tell, I'm a New York resident. Did EA for every school I could, no ED because Michigan didn't offer it :( . I really love the Midwest, trying to get off the East Coast for a bit.

I'm a minority as I am from Ethiopia, but I've had a 4.0 every trimester of middle school without too much effort and am now a freshmen who is taking honor classes and does track and basketball; does being not American effect my ability to enroll into post-secondary schools? Someone who knows please respond with a thoughtful answer.
You get huge advantages compared to whites, Indians, Asians, etc, if you're African. Huge. If you can speak English, do well in academics, schools will be begging you on bended knee to apply.

If you're getting recruited:
a) your application goes under a different area
b) depending on the school you can apply a lot earlier than other people, and get in

Huh, I haven't seen that before. Can you send me a link to Yale's info on it?
