Corrupt/Bias Moderation/Administration vs Badlion

1. Moderators hide behind anonymous behaviors. If a moderator declares that they wish to remain anonymous then they are a coward and not truly a representative of the community.

We aren't going to be dicks and reveal someone who didn't want to be revealed. We are certainly going to call him/her out on the fact that they shouldn't be trying to hide…but we are certainly not cruel people here.

To clarify it is somewhat known knowledge that I am the one who controls our twitter account. You can see in an earlier tweet I specify "Archybot and myself" and multiple times before hand I have associated that I control the twitter for our network.

You had no problem calling someones parents out… I mean that is a bit cruel wouldn't you say?

I agree. I also made a formal apology in a follow up tweet admitting I was wrong about what I had said.

All they say is that it was removed because it had no relation to the UHC subreddit, and then when somebody points out that there are no rules against it, they reply with the same generic message: Mods can remove posts at their discretion. Meaning- Mods can be and are biased, which is the exact reason for this.

As I mentioned in a previous comment, I reckon that post could have stayed, but I understand why the mods wanted it to be removed. Also take not that this rule exists too: http://puu.sh/gcx85/d9ca8b1f68.png

That's a pure bias clause. Being able to delete something because you don't like it, but ignore other posts just like it because you like it is the definition of bias.

Again, you're calling us out on a single removed post. As I mentioned in a previous reply, Badlion hasn't branched off from the UHC subreddit nor was it created through it, the other PvP arenas Gberry posted where. I'm aware you posted some UHCs to the subreddit in the past but they got hate because they went badly, plus your UHCs don't follow the UBL, which is a reason why they were removed (which you would know if you read the rules).

Our first 5 or so UHC's ever were through /r/ultrahardcore, and we followed the UBL. We actually still have the code in our UHC plugin that would parse the UBL dynamically, but it was commented out. We left after having several of our posts either deleted or brigaded by angry host because our UHC's were "too big and taking away from other games" - which is also not against the rules.

Well what do you expect when you've insulted the moderators as well as most players of the subreddit? We're not going to sit there and let you lash out at us when all we ever did was remove one post. Whether it should have been removed or not, you're reaction is really unnecessary and childish.

You think our staff are bad. We think your staff are bad. You call us out in an announcement post. We've never called you out nor tell you how moderation "should" be done.

I kinda expected the moderators not to prove our point for us, but it seems they did.

Honestly. . . This isnt a big-ass deal that salty cunts are making it, there was little relation held between Badlion and r/Ultrahardcore.

All you have to do is not go around in chat and on the forums making discussions about RedditUHC and OCN on Badlion Network. it doesn't need a 5 page subforum of people bitching about shit they had no part in. It really has no point.

Actually you counter proved your point as this post just showed how childish your staff is. A "professional server" made an announcement post lashing other communities. Very pathetic.

To reddit UHC players:
Your subreddit rules located at https://www.reddit.com/r/ultrahardcore/wiki/rules SS - http://gyazo.com/50e7f8e0cf243139211da7c316ab01d8

Our post http://prntscr.com/69eskf was allowed by "Discussions relating to Ultra Hardcore (UHC), Game variant ideas (arena UHC's), and Important information about your server". It did not break a single of the "You should not start a thread for:" rules. It was a kit suggestion that was purely UHC that was aimed at making a kit closer to the style of reddit UHC (no absorption, water/lava, etc). It broke zero rules that are located within the ruleset.

http://gyazo.com/e1019ba740e8124fcf8ae37f957a4f35 from a topic - this is the pure definition of bias which is what we are calling you out on, some servers get special treatment while others get none. Every time badlion makes a thread on there we have either received hate and/or had it deleted. Every, time. We waited several months before even attempting to reconnect with the subreddit, and our first thread, which is our attempt at making a UHC ladder that closely follows reddit uhc rules, was deleted.

The thread I got is located at https://www.reddit.com/r/ultrahardcore/comments/2x4mgz/badlion_cutting_ties_with_us_and_ocn/ - which is as a thread and also comments that are clearly in violation of the drama rule, but it hasn't been removed and the comments aren't deleted that are in violation. There are petty insults without base that range from insults to staff, to making fun of a badlion staff member for poor grammar when English isn't his first language, which are also in violation of your ruleset. This reddit thread is a shiny example of exactly what we are calling you out on, and exactly why our thread exists.

I do not know if you noticed but this thread has also included petty insults as well.

What you see as unprofessional other people see as being transparent, something badlion is VERY known for - open appeals, open reports, open staff abuse reports, open discussion. We don't hide behind carefully crafted PR responses, we say exactly what is on our mind. This is a decision that the owners made at the very beginning when we hit 50 at peaks - we will never turn into PR robots. This is a network made by players for players.

Yes, and when this is over we'll go back and decide if punishments will need to be handed out or not. The problem is quite a few of the people in this topic don't play here and are simply here because of the reddit post (which guess what, is against reddit global rules - it's called brigading), so being punished on badlion doesn't affect them at all, which means I will probably punish absolutely no one unless a line is crossed (such as death threats, doxing, etc). I'm very much into everyone involved gets punished or no one gets punished.

Understandable, I just wanted to bring that to your attention since you referred to the subreddit having these insults as well. To be honest neither community is perfect and I really do not think this post was needed. Gberry sounded very fucking arrogant in the first post of this thread when he could have just formally stated that there will be no more "ties" with either community, rather than starting all of this drama.

Just my thoughts

You do realize, that even though BadLion does host UHC's, you were not advertising a UHC server in any way. I could be wrong about this, although I am pretty sure I am right. You guys are on a network, judging from it being badlion.NET This would mean that you are running on multiple servers, which is understandable for the amount of people that play here. You were advertising a kitpvp server, not UHC. You say that people here are "brigading", but probably at least 75% of our community plays on BadLion. Meaning we have every right to be looking at the forums here, and you can't really prove that we are only here because of the post on the Reddit. All you are doing is severely overreacting over your post being removed. I saw that you guys once posted something on our Community Post, and you got plenty of replies there from the people that cared. I don't understand why you couldn't just do that again, cause I can almost guarantee that would not have been removed.

if he didn't state reasons, people would still be pissed. this is a "you do this, you lose. you do something else, you lose." situation.

Yes, but the next 100 posts would have been "Why?" and we would have to explain it anyway, and like I said in another post - we don't sugar coat things or hide things. We thought it was just best to get it out there immediately.

https://www.badlion.net/forum/thread/28105/post/134101#134101 (First paragraph)

Our post broke zero rules in the rule wiki.

Also, the most common excuse is our kit server doesn't follow the UBL, but if you click on the subreddit sidebar "Helpful Links -> PvP Arenas" you will find in this post that Arena Servers do not have to follow the UBL - https://www.reddit.com/r/ultrahardcore/comments/28px9n/official_rultrahardcore_pvp_arena_list/
