So, one of the biggest questions we have seen so far in the whole awakening of Badlion Esports relates to bans. I am going to explain what we will do with past bans and punishments and why we are doing it.
Why the Appeal System Exists
Why do we allow people to appeal bans? Why do we not IP ban people after one ban?
We believe in second chances here at Badlion. Some of you are smart and take advantage of our generosity and choose to come on here and not cheat again. Others of you are foolish and continue to cheat and get your accounts locked out and IP banned. The reality is all we try to do here at Badlion is provide a fair competitive platform for people to play on and enjoy. Some people come on here with malicious intent which is to ruin that gameplay experience for other people. Other people pull the “well he’s cheating so I have to cheat too” stupidity which goes back to the old expression “two wrongs don’t make a right.” We still believe in that second chance and trying to let everyone play on here fairly. Those who choose not to is where GCheat comes in play and which is why there are over 15,000 IP bans in our system.
A United Community
The only way Badlion Esports and Minecraft will continue to succeed is if the community unites together and tries to make it a better place. There has been a very large decline in activity in the past 6 months in Minecraft (which I am sure Mojang is aware of) and the biggest cause is cheaters. There are more people cheating in Minecraft now than in any previous period of time before hand. It’s destroying the game. This is one of the foundations and purposes of Badlion Esports, to make the game fair and help grow it versus kill it. The fact that Badlion Esports is behind a paywall (a cheap one at that) also helps to lower the number of people who are going to even try to cheat, since the users will not want to lose their access rights to Badlion Esports.
The only way this game and a true competitive esport environment will come into existence is if the community works together to create a better and more competitive environment together. Badlion Esports is ready to help make that a reality.
A Clean Slate
There are over 700,000 bans on Badlion and 15,000 IP bans. This is a ridiculous number of accounts that are banned. Between cracked alts and dynamic IP’s it is very hard to enforce bans on people that are determined to come on here and try to ruin other’s experience. This is where Badlion Esports comes into play, these chronic cheaters will find themselves removed from the platform very quickly, and not able to get back on at all. The Badlion Esports ban system is something totally new here at Badlion, and it will be nothing short of effective.
This is my clear warning to the community right here and now: DO NOT CHEAT ON BADLION Esports IF YOU WANT TO BE ABLE TO USE IT EVER.
This all being said, we have decided to give every single person here at Badlion a clean slate for the Badlion Esports product (if you are banned on Badlion Open you will stay banned on Badlion Open). This means we will not be enforcing any bans, ip bans, mutes, anything of the sort from Badlion Open (existing na.badlion.net, eu.badlion.net, sa.badlion.net, au.badlion.net) to the new Badlion Esports product. The ban/mute system for Badlion Esports will be 100% separated from Badlion Open (different website and punishment histories).
I say this also with a big emphasis on do not take advantage of our generosity. If you get yourself banned on Badlion Esports, you can kiss it goodbye. We won’t be giving out second chances with it as quickly, and all bans are in place for at least 1 year. If you are detected cheating by our client side anticheat, your forum account will become exiled. Exiled means all your stats are removed from all services, and you will be blocked from logging into all our services (Open, Premium, AC Client, Badlion PvP Mod, Teamspeak, Forums, Discord, etc).
Conclusion
We want the entire community to be behind us on the new Badlion Esports product. The more people that jump on board and help work with us on the product the better it will succeed. We at Badlion here have always firmly believed in (and still do) listening to our players. No one knows what they want better than them. We will continue to work with the community on Badlion Esports as time goes on (and Badlion Open as well). I remind people that this is an ongoing project and we will continue to be adding new features and improvements to it throughout 2017 and beyond. Be active on the website/forums to have the largest impact and know exactly what is going on.
On a small and separate side note @SmellyPenguin will be taking over the Developer Logs, and will start posting them weekly again. I have become too busy and distant from the raw development side of things to keep up with them. Smelly will do a much better job at staying on top of them than I can (he will post one soon for the past month).
Thanks everyone and looking forward to building a better Minecraft community here on Badlion Esports together.

1st. I think that it is a good idea to give everyone a second chance! I just hope that it grows the community and that they aren't dumb enough to keep cheating.Last edited on 25 November 2016 - 03:19 PM by Unwise
Interested about the role of moderators from this point forward. I assume we'll stick mostly to Badlion Open, but who knows.Posted on 25 November 2016 - 03:22 PM

I'm nervous that I have something on my system that would lead to a ban from BAC. If a small fraction of a chance occurs where someone is falsebanned, is the appeal process the same?Posted on 25 November 2016 - 03:41 PM
I'm thinking about applying for mod but is mod role even gonna be a thing ?Posted on 25 November 2016 - 03:42 PM
What about if you had a client like weeks before that that you deleted and never used on badlion before premium, will BAC still ban for that?Posted on 25 November 2016 - 03:49 PM
Would this mean everyone's punishment page will be cleared?Posted on 25 November 2016 - 03:54 PM
I personaly have a broken mouse that double clicks ocasionaly. If BAC bans me for that will I be able to appeal? Also , on Badlion open some people get unbanned for accidentally toggling something . Admins just check the logs and if they match they get unbanned. Will this be available on premium too?
Great news ;) cant wait for the release!

No, the punishments for premium will be separate from open, but the open ones stay.

Buy a working mouse. Not our problem if you are using glitchy hardware and you get banned for it.
Don't have things to toggle.
